>is this the power of paying a fair price for labour?
in fact the bug bounty programs are incredibly cheap you get the best of best hacking your stuff and submitting fixes for few thousands which for big companies might as well be pennies
like remember they're paying h1b jeets hundreds of thousands per year to pretend to be working or vibecode some retarded broken shit because the big companies have been turned into h1b scam pipelines where jeet HRs recruit their own from india and get kickbacks from the salary, they're looting the companies for millions and millions in salaries

meanwhile some actually mega skilled coder from eastern europ doesnt get paid any salary but only for results and he gets paid few thousand per some critical bug and does more for the company than 10 salaried jeets do for fraction the price

well no shit dumbass. GPL is based on the correct principle that NOT distributing the source along with the binary requires either social or technical hacks or both that do not need to be tolerated. GPL assumes no distinction between source and binary except possible user convenience and distribution pattern. there is no technical difference, they are both "the software" so they by all reason should both be distributed to anyone the software is available to.

NOTHING in GPL prevents you from closed betas, only collabing with a small group, only releasing to a small group of users. and says nothing about keeping secrets. you can keep all the secrets you want. but to whomever you give the software out, DO NOT use slimy tricks against them to restrict their access to only a side-effect of your code (compiled binary). you are doing them a disservice.
>>
>>107596484
any proof?
>>
>>107598251
Trade secrets are a different law entirely. The GPL does not give any rights to trade secrets, because it's a copyright license. If someone is caught leaking trade secrets, then it's a matter for that area of law. Not for copyright.
>>
>>107599728
I wonder how AI researchers can go from one big tech company to another and not leak trade secrets in any way

Hi! I don't listen that much to music, i use them more for calls, gaming, ecc

Do you like Open Ear Buds? I've had the linkbuds(1st gen) and loved them, but now the battery is going crazy, they don't work good anymore.

Do you have any recommendations for (picrel) style of devices?

(1) Is the second gen of what I currently have

(2) Just look fancy, but I think the case is cumbersome

(3) Amazfit is a reputable brand, right? They don't even cost as much and are stylish.

(2)(3) Has anyone tried this form factor? Is it good? Regards.

Its a publicly traded company problem; when your only motivation is profit chasing to please investors, you are more prone to make bad business decisions, including going against your own customer base. CEOs work for the board, not the customers. If the company self destructs, the CEO that was faithful to the board gets to pop his golden parachute while the customers get nothing. Avoid publicly traded companies.

I imagine a Vulkan implementation to be simpler and more straightforward, OpenGL usually imposes more constraints and requires obscure workarounds. Also Vulkan is common in ML, so would be more esoteric to use OpenGL

I don't know. I have literally no idea how does the internal situation of the Ubuntu team looks like. I based it all on your description since you seem to know quite a lot about it.
If it's possible to revert that takeover and kick out the trannies please do so. Get together with fellow maintainers and do whatever there is to be done to kick out the bad actors.

I spent so long in erlang development that I forgot this could be an issue.
>>

>God damn, I didn't realise how much I hate it when languages don't have proper lexical scope and variable shadowing
Today I remembered once again that in C you can't do:
struct type *x = something();
if (...) {
struct type2 *x = (struct type2 *) x;
}

Because in C, x on the RHS refers to the x on the LHS, no the x in the outter scope.
This fucking sucks, you can do this in languages with non-retarded name resolution rules.
>>
>>107599750
actually never mind the casting, there are use cases for simply copying a variable
>>
>>107599750
I have written code that'll actually refer to itself in its own declaration, which that'll break.
But also that's niche as fuck and I'll agree that Rust's shadowing (and whatever it copied that from) is generally nicer.

As long as we all agree that python's way is crap.

Apparently Google is removing XSLT support from Chrome. Fuck Jewgle and fuck the retards behind their shit browser for killing the only native client side rendering "framework".

XSLT was used in a lot of legacy enterprise apps. If your goal is to replace bespoke enterprise tools with half-baked Google trannyware, then advocating for this makes sense.
