Its shrimple, your agreement to using software requires you use a supported operating system. If you don't, you're on your own. The exact same agreement exists between software vendors and OS providers. If I write software for the currently supported Windows and someone on Linux or windows 98 says they're having issues, then I can correctly tell them to fuck off, just like Microsoft would tell me if my app didn't work on a non-supported version of Windows.
