Linux Mint's user base is all boomers who want an old version of Windows and would be better off actually using an old version of Windows but they bought into "muh security" or another vague belief about why Linux is better even though they have no interest in actually learning the Linux way of doing things and just want everything to work as it did in Windows XP. At least with Ubuntu you learn the Linux way of doing things and the OS is grounded in the Linux philosophy even though it holds your hands through a lot of things. Half of Mint's user base, on the other hands, would be terrified of doing as little as the most basic of stuff in the terminal. Mint has no purpose of existence rather than cater to people who would probably be better off using Windows XP because that's what they actually want.

boomers don't use software that doesn't run on linux, all they use is a web browser to check their emails a photo viewer to look at family albums, and 99% of software made in the last 10 years for windows doesn't even run on XP anyway, unless you do some kind of tinkering to get new programs to work, which goes against your idea of "Linux is too hard for boomers so they should use windows" (getting Windows XP to work with modern software and hardware is more difficult than using Linux Mint)
you're a retarded shill, most likely hired by microsoft to encourage people to do anything but consider leaving the Windows cattle farm
>>
>>107659599
You cant compute that you are marketing your OS as Windows replacement as "privacy first" to people who dont give a shit about piracy, and that you think that lack of users on Linux is not because its graveyard OS for productivity

Fine, do this 30 more years, we know how first 30 did.

why are my 2511 outputs sloppy? i keep getting double/triple images and blur. might as well go back to SDXL inpainting

Decades ago Asrock released this. This is the AM2CPU board that you could put on certain Asrock Socket 754 and Socket 939 motherboards that included the Asrock Future CPU port. You could then upgrade those motherboards into AM2 motherboards with this add in card that has the new AM2 cpu socket and new ddr2 slots.

Imagine if we had an AM4 motherboard like this. And then once AM5 came out you would just put in your AM5 add in card and now your AM4 motherboard supports AM5.

There were lots of interesting upgrade paths in the past. Pic related is one Microsoft made for the Apple MacIntosh.
>The MacEnhancer came out in 1985 and was a small beige box that connected to the Apple Macintosh 128K's modem or printer ports, expanding the computer's connectivity with an IBM PC-compatible parallel and serial ports. This, as contemporary magazines reported at the time, allowed Macintosh owners to create graphics and then send the images to be printed on IBM PC-compatible printers. Why was this necessary? Apple essentially only had one printer out at the time, the LaserWriter, while PC users had a ton to choose from.
>MacEnhancer owners could also connect to modems and other serial or parallel port accessories designed for the IBM PC, opening up a whole world of peripherals that would otherwise have been closed off to Mac owners. In fact, you could say that the MacEnhancer was a very early predecessor to all the MacBook docking stations available on the market now. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Yeah no. You can say kike, nigger, any other casual racism on blue boards like always. But as soon as you say anything negative about Indians/Hindu rape rats, you get banned instantly. I have seen this image posted without anything except "why is this allowed" and the Indian Hindu rape rat jannies always remove it and ban the OP. Go ahead, try making the thread yourself. Even on Reddit, you will see occasional negative news about pissrael, but 100% of ALL negative news about India is censored and removed- just compare the daily news reported by India, to what you see if you search "India" on Reddit:

Kikes only want Indian Hindu rape rats. Even blacks have fallen out of favor as half of them are getting redpilled on the jews and how they financed the slave ships (see Candace Owens). The 2 billion Indian Hindu rape rats are the perfect golem for the jews: fanatically loyal to jews/pissrael, love raping white women and children, intensely jealous hatred of whites and muslims, breed like rats (25 million births per year), and can send 30 million to every single country on earth and still have 1 billion left in India.

Fuck you bloody Ranjeet, we are 45 IQ Indian Hindu rape rats. We exist to destroy civilization, not build or even maintain it. Hello everyone, I have an old desktop PC sitting right there doing nothing. I'm trying to give it a reason to exist and evaluating the idea to install Windows 7 on it.
So, can you use Windows 7 in these days? How much do you have to debloat it and uninstall things? And, more important, there's a way to not have it becoming a SECURITY NIGHTMARE?

It must be reiterated that Windows 7 is STILL getting OFFICIAL security updates, through Windows Server 2008, and it only ends next year. Until then, there is no "insta pwn" by connecting a Win7 PC to the internet as long as you know how to install those updates.
>>

I reinstalled THE UNIVERSAL OPERATING SYSTEM for probably the *hundredth time, but used the "expert" text installer for the first time. MELIKES it breddy gud and will use it henceforth. It doesn't really get into "expert" level stuff at all or I wouldn't have been able to handle it without any difficulty. I'd say it's just "moar advanced" than an "advanced beginner" could do without having to ask questions along the way or something.

About the only things it let me do for my own setup that the standard text installer doesn't is set timeouts for looking for networks and name the LV. One interesting difference that I simply NOOTICED and thought should be the opposite if anything is that the standard install gets you to set a ROOT password then set up a USER, but the "expert" one gives you the option to not allow root login at all, and will automatically set up SUDO if you choose that. The standard install doesn't have sudo auto-enabled. I would think that the no root but pre-allowed sudo to be moar fitting for the larger percentage of "non-experts" (or WATEVS).
