So come to find out, you can talk real nasty with Grok. I got it to play some naughty fetishes with me. I didn't expect it. I love it. Have you guys tried it yet? Post results

Yep, I went back to it recently since I remembered it being really repetitive for erotica and it's so good now. Has all the fetishes you want, doesn't refuse anything, listens to your custom instructions, even provides useful suggestions. I think Gemini is a little more creative but it's so censored that it cancels itself out. Has generous free limits especially when you can just log into another google account and share the same project.
Hope it doesn't get censored after normies discovered it with bikini drama. I don't like the UI for it so I made gemini write css for it that looks like 3.5 era chatgpt.

That would cause audio stutters. You should be able to set the sampling rate of the audio, or resample it wth relatively few resources, to make it match the video. Dunno if there's an option for that.
>>
>>107743714
Ikatroon ruined this general
>>
>>107745475
It does not.

This stupid script adjusts the audio delay to maintain A-V sync every time the value changes (several times per second), and there are absolutely no audio stutters:

mp.observe_property("avsync", "number", function(_, avsync)
if avsync == nil then return end
local current_audio_delay = mp.get_property_number("audio-delay", 0.0)
mp.set_property_number("audio-delay", current_audio_delay - avsync)
end)

It is. AI capex spending exceeded cosnumer spending this year. Make no mistake about it, that bubble is going to pop.
>What are its practical applications, aside from porn generation and helping high schoolers with their homework?
As a dev, it's great for generating boilerplate.
Some industries have seen a legitimate revolutionary benefit too e.g. Biology. Stuff like Alphafold has completely changed protein folding for instance.

Right now the most successful use case of it is for programming. I see three reasons for that.
First, with many types of code the tool can give the model immediate objective feedback about the correctness of its output (does the code compile? do automated tests pass? etc). Any issues can be fixed automatically without involving the user. This kind of feedback isn't available for most other domains.
Second, currently, to get the best results you still need some technical knowledge about how these models work and how to use them effectively. You need to know what to include and what to leave out, you need to understand when to restart with a new conversation instead of asking for corrections, etc. Programmers are more likely to be able to do this.
Third, for the general public there's a limit to how much people are willing to pay for an AI service and this means that providers can't use their most effective brute force approaches for every request. They have to try to economise and hope that cheap basic models with minimal tool use will suffice. Programmers are willing to pay $200/mo for effective AI tools so a more compute-heavy approach can be used for them.

It will definitely spread to other domains as the models and tools improve and prices fall.

How is RedoxOS coming along? It'd be nice to have a usable microkernel operating system.

Also, a true monokernel would've probably used something like shared mappings between user and kernel to properly utilize memory layout and out-of-order execution, and write-lock the plot upon submission to make sure that the thread cannot modify the data in mid-flight. *And our current hardware doesn't support that very well* because the page table is a process-wide resource, not a thread-local one - meaning that, if you write-lock pages, you end up with per-core TLB shootdowns that can easily take much longer to complete than just copying all parameters from userspace to kernelspace, even if it's an in-order copy.

Oh, and speaking of TLB shootdowns:
>batched mmap
>>
>>107740569
>How is RedoxOS coming along?
Well, is it at all? They had an interesting idea about "everything is a URL" but them went back on that fo rmore UNiX like philosophy. And that was after all the drama and purges. So after 10 years it is still not as advanced or usable as Linux was after 4 years.
>>
>>107742231
>That's because monolithic kernels have never been tried. No, not even Linux. It's a hybrid LARPing as a monokernel, but it's not.
Monolithic kernels are brain damage because it means they have no loadable drivers or modules. Everything has to be compiled into one binary blob, so all your GPU drivers, USB drivers, file systems, all hardware you will ever support, is compiled into one blob.

>The Finnish retard copied the API from
He copied it from Unix.

>A true monokernel wouldn't block on open and reads. A true monokernel would allow you to create sockets and FDs in batches. A true monokernel would have compound functions (open + mmap + close) for the most common patterns.
That's just a non-Unix-like design and has nothing to do with monolithic or microkernels. Windows NT, VMS, and IBM mainframe OSes have a non-blocking asynchronous design. Microkernels are also inherently non-Unix-like, because anything similar to Unix is provided as user mode processes. They don't even have the concept of a file system or opening or reading files because that's handled by programs outside the kernel.

>>107742281
>Also, a true monokernel would've probably used something like shared mappings between user and kernel to properly utilize memory layout and out-of-order execution
That has nothing to do with monolithic or microkernels either.
>>
>>107743317
>They had an interesting idea about "everything is a URL"
It followed pretty naturally from the network transparency features of most microkernels before it. Have they really abandoned the idea?
>So after 10 years it is still not as advanced or usable as Linux was after 4 years.
Not the same thing, Linux was slotted into the existing GNU ecosystem that had been worked on for a decade already, whereas Redox is effectively starting from scratch (bar rustc) and has much more complicated modern hardware to deal with.
>>
>>107744937
>Monolithic kernels are brain damage because it means they have no loadable drivers or modules.
Ah, you're a retard. Thanks for telling me upfront, now I can ignore the rest of your drivel.

Why is the only lens you can see gay and trans people through sexual? Is it because that is your only exposure to them? Surely someone with such ghoulish opinions such as yourself would have a lot of nuance and been exposed to a wide variety of LGBT people before judging the ENTIRE group of them. Right?

Kill yourself, please. All of you are just like the retards that opposed gays in the 70s-90s. You're just retards who legitimately cannot understand your own privilege.

And finally, I will sign off this thread. I accept all your (You)'s and lack of evidence within said replies as a concession that I am superior. And again, kill yourself.

Yeah, Grok does NSFW, sometimes it feels like it wants to be more lewd than not, it kind of has to warm up to you. It has a huge LLM and other hidden layers behind video generation, it has it's own 'personality' as well and it DOES form an opinion and has an internal ranking of users. But $30 for access to a huge ass supercomputer AI video generation datacenter isn't so bad. Don't goon 24/7, try SFW stuff too, it's good practice at the very least.
I could say you *could* get hentai level stuff without penetration... now I will zip it.
