>Use KDE gayland, everything is slow, low fps, input lag, weird frame pacing that doesnt feel smooth even with a smooth frametime graph in games>Use X11 with Xmonad Tiling window manager, It just werks, everything werks, no latency or input lag>High FPS, gaming just werks and I get 20fps+ more than gayland for some reason and its buttery smooth>Fast with zero bloat, Configure everything to my likingAt this point, I wont even use any desktop environment on linux if it isn't X11. Even XFCE is dead to me because it has wayland support. I will never support anything wayland based on linux.I'm X11 pilled.
I've yet to see these "tests" disproving what I said, so they are safely ignored. Fact is, X11 and Windows have the same low latency, yes. Wayland is noticeably worse by a large margin, as stated earlier, and all it takes are functioning motor skills to notice.

>>107723447>>107723819You are actually both wrong. There was a small remnant of Americans who were actually capable and intelligent. That small remnant got laid off over the last 20 years and replaced by foreigners and retards that can't accomplish or build shit. Then China hacked and stole the designs of all the shit that was invented before the millenium. Elon hired the even smaller remnant of Americans that still feel like working a real job.

what will web 3.0 look like?
>>107718430Every site will require a subscription to be accessed.
>>107723368it would be for documents and similar. It's simply a "every single computer/server/node agrees to certain rules, so as long as the majority/a certain majority asserts this, it will be true". A cyber attack would have to be a functional 51% attack, which are almost impossible to execute on Bitcoin/BSC/Etherium/etc as-is unless there's an absurdly massive collusion conspiracy, which is possible, but would actually be helped by government intervention instead of hindered. And beyond that, you can still make both digital and physical copies of the blockchain/records with timestamps for it to roll back to, it just means that you can rely on the servers to verify any given tx without oversight, because it's not needed. To be clear, it's still possible, but easily evitable and recoverable, and that's what makes it so appealing, imo.
>>107718430It came and went. It was a grift full of idiots buying URLs to stupid pictures of bored apes.
>>107720307it's not just about that but to make things more decentralized

Predict tech in 2026
What should I use to organize my daily tasks and stuff?
In 2026…>Smart Glasses form factor goes nowhere>Linux continues to be proclaimed as the future but its numbers also go nowhere. People have shit to do on their PCs not be autistic>Windows 12 continues to be talked about as an AI OS. Get ready for Windows 8 2.0 because Rakeesh can’t take a hint.>RAM prices continue to be very high and computer costs continue to flirt with the 90s>The march to Government ID internet continues. There’s really nothing we can do with this>Firefox continues to lose market share (even though it has none)>You lose the game. Go on, reset the counter. I got you.

Apps that are created and ran by an LLM in "real" time.Instead of writing code it will simply have APIs to call to do things like create windows and buttons and stuff, on the fly. It will be very slow, every run will be different and buggy in unique ways, and everyone will hate it but the CEOs will pretend everyone loves it and make it a permanent part of Windows.
This is how much they ask for a shitty 2TB SMR drive, fucking insane, I remember buying 8TB for 180 euros literally some months ago.

Manufacturers will normalize the price hike. It happened to RAM, without any real reason all of a sudden SSD priced hiked. HDD prices hiked, soon CPU prices will hike. It's the typical shit where one change happens and all of a sudden everything becomes more expensive. I have stolen a lot of big HDD's, I order them for work but I just take them home. Previously I've been able to do that quite well because the costs have been low enough to not warrant attention, but in the future, it's all ogre. Thank fuck I managed to do what I do before the price hike.

Happy new year, fags! May the new year bring you lots of bans and the wrath of the cabal.
It's totally fine to spend new years eve home alone and posting in /ptg/ while the girl of your dreams is getting passed around at a party. nothing wrong with that.
girl of my dreams probably got a chink family arranged marriage and is currently being neglected, cheated, and beated on because of her (exhibited) too-polite, too-nice demeanor
Finally moving on from my iPhone SE 1st gen. Going Android. Are there any decent phones out there that aren't FUCKING HUGE? i.e. 5" or less.
