New version is out.

Also, why was my previous thread deleted? This is a software-based application explicitly engineered for operation within the computational and telecommunications framework of a handheld mobile device, ok? It is therefore unambiguously situated within the broader domain of contemporary technological systems, infrastructures, and applied digital sciences, and as such relevant to /g/.

how do they rationalize that there are more mtf trannies in tech than real women?
where are in ftm trannies in tech?

What exactly is the point of libreboot?

I'm a little confused about it.
I thought Libreboot was deblobbed coreboot, but it isn't.
That's canoeboot, which is a fork of Libreboot.
So what is the point of libreboot?

>The development comes a little over a year after the tech giant [Google] disclosed that its transition to Rust led to a decline in memory safety vulnerabilities from 223 in 2019 to less than 50 in 2024.

>The company pointed out that Rust code requires fewer revisions, necessitating about 20% fewer revisions than their C++ counterparts, and has contributed to a decreased rollback rate, thereby improving overall development throughput.

>We adopted Rust for its security and are seeing a 1000x reduction in memory safety vulnerability density compared to Android's C and C++ code. But the biggest surprise was Rust's impact on software delivery," Google's Jeff Vander Stoep said. "With Rust changes having a 4x lower rollback rate and spending 25% less time in code review, the safer path is now also the faster one

>With roughly 5 million lines of Rust in the Android platform and one potential memory safety vulnerability found (and fixed pre-release), our estimated vulnerability density for Rust is 0.2 vuln per 1 million lines (MLOC).

>Our historical data for C and C++ shows a density of closer to 1,000 memory safety vulnerabilities per MLOC. Our Rust code is currently tracking at a density orders of magnitude lower: a more than 1000x reduction.

There's like 10,000 lines in some theme's gtk.css. Good luck finding out what is going on.
You can probably override this with your own gtk.css in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css etc
Unless this issue is related to actual graphical elements of the theme.
To this day I have no idea how to create a theme from scratch...

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine.

Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?

i used linux with an nvidia card for years as i was moving to it since i already had one. yea i was relieved to get an amd card and use radeonsi instead but it wasn't so big a deal that it'd stop me from using linux, i just couldn't use things like gallium nine (obsolete nowadays)

I dont sprak for other Linux users, I jumped the Windows ship when I had my entire system messed up with the cloud. Completely jumped ship and wrote over my Windows partition when Bitlocker corrupted the files on the Ubuntu side when I updated the Ubuntu OS.

Windows sucks. Windows hates its users. Windows is gonna be exposed someday, I swear it, its my goal in life. I personally believe at least half of all bad things are windows fault, nowadays. no, im not joking either, just think about it. conflict resources, human trafficing, DRM and multi-market anti-consumer technology applications... the longer you think, the more Im right.

if you dont hate Windows, and Microsoft, you arent paying enough attention.

I love this idea of writing your own tools that do only what you need them to do and nothing more.
Although realistically, just learning GIMP is probably faster and easier.
>>
>>107700061
I have been using GIMP since 2006 and unfortunately it's performance has been getting worse and worse.

I am aware of the irony of spending more time making this than I would have waiting for gimp to load, lol.

I don't care about performance if I cannot write my app and load it on the phone I purchased without needing permission from the company that sold me the phone in order to do that.
If android disappeared today, I would not use iOS.

Is the a fork of this that doesn't have all the tranny shit?
If not how would one go about forking it, and what features should be added?
