just host your own fucking website if you got denied by steam

>>

>>107732214
My solution?

If you live in the US or any country with copyright law protest it. Do not buy any product on steam anymore, pirate all your games until US law removes the DMCA and copyright laws.

If you live outside America/Europe with no copyright enforcement, support game devs by donation if you pirate or on GOG if its available and backup your installers.
>>
So far enshittification has not begun, and won't while Gabe is still working. It's not that Steam is so great - they're just the very rare example of things working the way they were supposed to until the vampires got hold of everything.

This used to be fairly normal.
>>
>>107732234
You are saying US copyright as a buzzword. Unless you can actually elaborate on what's wrong with it you have no point.

I have never once heard a single rational explanation for why reverse hinging is useful or necessary. Maybe it reduces the risk of the hinges breaking when you open it too far, but you could instead just not handle your laptop like a fucking caveman.

Hmm. The hand in the pics was white, so there's no reason for them to randomly fuck up basic English. I should probably be prepared for this to not come with a charger at all, shouldn't I? What's the best charger for an X13?
>>
>>107731565
It's probably the display cable. Try reseating it and see if things improve, but if not, replace it. It's probably fucky where the cable goes thru the hinge. It's a bit of a pain but should be a simple disassembly/reassembly. As long as you go slow and keep your screws sorted it'll be fine. Won't be any glue holding the screen in the lid, just a few fiddly snaps for the bezel I think.
>>
>>107732135
okay I'm going to try this, thanks. good to hear it's probably not the display itself. on the other hand, the thing that I would like to upgrade most is actually the display, because I'm still using the stock display with TN panel which looks horrible. I could get a LP125WH2-SLB3 for 100 bucks, if this is better than, say, the display of a t14 gen 1 then it's maybe worth it, otherwise I should probably just buy a more recent thinkpad (t14 gen >= 3 would be nice for 16:10 aspect ratio) and retire my good old x220 (rip goat keyboard). can someone comment on this?

Excluding playing video games on them WTF where computers in the 70s and 80s used for?

Like serious question.

The capacity of them was laughable the 8-inch Floppy disk is ~242KB

>Diskettes formatted for this system stored 242,944 bytes

1 Wikipedia article page saved as ASCII text takes up 25KB at the lowest.

So 10 pages would fill that one up of pure ASCII text.

You can not store books on them.

Posting in a retard thread. The original term was computer aided drafting (CAD). It replaced manual drafting for engineers that is tedious as fuck.
>>
I use a 8MHz 8086 Amstrad PC 1512 running DOS 3.20, with a hard drive, and back up data to floppies. The computer is great for text editing (personal notes and diary) and I keep domestic finance in Lotus 123 spreadsheets. Using compressors like pkzip or ARJ almost doubles floppy space for text and spreadsheet data.
My only complaint is that VGA monitors have much better resolution in text mode. For C coding and PGP use with modern key sizes it's much better to use at least a 386+ machine, which is also a borderline 80's computer. The 8086 computer is really inefficient for intensive computations.

Is retarded.

Using pen and paper is better and far more accurate for personal finances.

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

I've been waiting for years for this.
China has to be well aware how much untapped profits there are if they can enter the hardware market, even if it's not GPUs if they could just make DRAM and NAND flash for RAM and SSDs they could eat up the market.
The US dominated the semiconductor market until Japan leapfrogged them with much cheaper DRAM chips, then the Japanese lost to Korea and SAMSUNG.

Only after the initial setup. You still need a pc in the first place and apple constantly removes apps or features needed for it to work so you need to stay up to date and constantly change your work arounds otherwise you will lose all your apps when certs run out.
