It's a thing you can use to tell the computer to open the image you saved as HotBae_42.jpg and then save it on the HotBaes folder. It can also do useless stuff like replacing the lower right corner of 200 files with a peenus-weenus-shaped pattern if uh you tell it to do so.It shouldn't be confused with the terminal emulator, which is basically like what ATMs are to banks. If you've ever been to the bank, you should know you can actually go to a physical human teller and deposit a cheque and/or take money out from your account, but you can do that too by just going through the ATM (which is open 24/7 in my neighborhood idk about yall).Anyway, unless you're at the Computer Science History Museum, you won't find anybody actually using a real terminal (a typewriter-like thing you'd have to hook up to your computer so as to turn it into your obedient slave), so instead what you'll see people using is the terminal emulator.

>>107683470If you have specific papers/drug tests as documents you can upload, try ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. Use multiple conversations with each and be clear that they are only to use information that is present in the documents you're uploading and not to create new information. Fact check responses against other AI/conversations. This is the best case scenario, but even then you will not get something very accurate. If you want models to look for medical papers on the internet, this is a bad idea. In my experience web search does not find accurate or relevant sources in many cases.
>>107683503>>107683474It was worth a shot, thanks anons
>>107683434I think part of the output length issue (that is, Gemini responding longer and longer) might be an AI studio issue. G3mini seems to be as terse by default as the docs say it is when you try it on Vertex
>>107683324Nice try, we all know you're the usual shitposter. You don't even use LLMs, you just copy/paste the same nonsense over and over again. Like that time you said a preset didn't have a prefill, when the prefill was literally labeled.
>>107683440I don't know what you want to do with it exactly, but perhaps you could just take any modern thinking model that can access the internet and ask it to help you search for info about your symptoms and possible reasons for it.Most medical practicioners are very bad at their job. The medical profession has a hard time controlling the quality of its members, and many of them fail to even recognize just normal everyday problems like kidney stones. They have an unmerited image as these sage scientists, when in fact they are more like office clerks: A doctor gets a hundred inputs a day (lists of smptoms), then checks these against a standardized list of afflictions and then choses from a standardized list of relevant tests and treatments. Most af that could be automated without loosing quality. Googling your symptoms or asking an AI to help you can not be worse than asking a bad doctor.

Got an android a couple years ago because you kind of need a smart phone these days (literally can't log into my bank without their app for example). Picked Motorola because I heard it has minimal/no bloat and that was true for a bit but then they started adding bloat to the phone via updates. Managed to disable all of it but some turns itself back on with system updates which of course are mandatory. The most sickening one was an app that starts downloading gigabytes of random trash apps on my phone without consent unless disabled (or not connected to wi-fi). Literally malware. What a fucking horseshit era to live in.
My current phone is rooted and I'm waiting for a unicorn gamery phone with a slide out controller that won't have proprietary unreleased blobs so it can run arch or fedora

>>107683570>>107683466
>>107683590Meaning what exactly?
>>107683615Meaning that, instead of relying on shitty heuristics that can only go off of size, you allocate address space and memory from the kernel directly and partition it like you see fit. Data that's resizable? Gets its own arena, with lots of address space to grow. Data that's not? Gets into a shared pool, with not so much space. You don't need the data anymore? Keep the mapping around as a scratchpad. And don't bother freeing it in the end; the kernel is going to take care of that, and in less mode switches, too.

Reposting my retarded question from another thread;Forgive the retarded question, but been out of the game for awhile and want to make some decisions.I need to replace some parts that died, and given the cost of ram all I could source was a 32 gig kit of cl30 ddr 5 ram.Historically my "ai box" has had a 2x48gb kit of slightly worse timings, the main hardware in there is 2 3090s, and my question is if I took the 96 gig kit for my main build and gave it 32, how much would that hurt things? I know most stuff goes in the vram, but as far as recent models are there better quants or anything to where I won't notice that missing ram?Basically to rephrase for this general how bad will 32gigs fuck me for daily use, I have not had a computer with less than 64 since 2018, I really doubt I can find another 32 gigs at a remotely reasonable price.
