Almost as if he needs to use his PC to do things rather than tinker around. I bet Linus is a gigaboomer that just uses the default for everything.

Using gnome and fedora is a nigger choice. I accept fedora only with kde.
>>
I use Fedora because the last time I used Arch, it fail to update.
I still watch to use Arch with Hyprland deep down, but I also dislike debugging my computer.

Do monitor manufacturers hate money?
>Get an OLED
Sorry I don't want
>Image retention
>Burn in (that even with prevention is inevitable 2-3 years down the road)
>Hiding taskbar
>Pixel shifting
>Fucked up text fringing
>Adware pop ups every 4 hours that turns the monitor off for 5 minutes and if you decline ONCE you void warranty
>Insane VRR flicker if you can't maintain 200+ FPS consistent
>Twice the price

Oh fuck off. If I don't notice image retention on my LCD monitor after displaying static HDR content blasting out at 1150 nits for fifteen minutes straight because I decided to cook dinner, then it doesn't fucking exist. Not for that specific panel, at least--my Tab S6 Lite and one particular monitor at my workplace have very obvious image retention, but no other monitor there has anything that's even remotely able to be construed as image retention.
>>
>>107656641
Funny how you moved the goalpost from "LCDs don't get image retention" to "My LCD doesn't get image retention".
You know what doesn't get image retention? OLED. You actually have to burn them in to get such an effect, which is easily avoidable.
You have a false sense of security. Give it 8 years and your LCD will have image retention. It's unavoidable due to changes in resistance over time.

obsolete means it gets beaten in every way and that describes non oleds
oleds will only be obsolete once microleds enter the consumer market and we all know your kin isn't paying 5x the price of an oled for a microled

Don't rely on one medium. Have it backed up in multiple. Also writing/printing stuff down and laminating it is also an option. If you want to preserve your stuff for thousands of years - put it in clay tablets, bake them, seal them underground in sealed container

How does the caps lock light on my wireless keyboard know that the caps lock is activated? Like I can turn off the keyb, pull up on-screen keyb, push the caps lock key, turn on the keyb and caps lock led light will immediately realize that it's on.
Does the computer really send the status of the system caps lock to the keyb all the time?

Basically you'll be charging exorbitant freelance rates to fix the Ai-generated stuff that's like a black box to the software engineers.

>Our North Star is ‘1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code.’ To accomplish this previously unimaginable task, we’ve built a powerful code processing infrastructure. Our algorithmic infrastructure creates a scalable graph over source code at scale. Our AI processing infrastructure then enables us to apply AI agents, guided by algorithms, to make code modifications at scale. The core of this infrastructure is already operating at scale on problems such as code understanding.”

Package managers have no software in them. Package managers access software that's either on your system waiting to be installed, or in your distro's repos.

Yeah, my cousin told me his son's PC stopped booting and i told him I'd take a look at it. It was an incredibly old system, taking DDR3 and even having an RS232 port on the mobo. Idk where exactly things went wrong or if my cousin messed with it himself much but I just rebuilt the boot record as UEFI and in bios it was set to Legacy so i just changed it to UEFI and it worked

Are they making google results shit on purpose to force people into using "AI"? I can't find results for my basic searches I used all the time. They are gone now. Yandex.ru doesn't have this problem.

do you have an interview with them coming up? you can study enough to get decent at LC if you have more than a week to practice.
On a more depressing note, LC has a comments section for microsoft as a company and ALL of the posts are by indians. Almost every single one.
>>
>>107657094
not microsoft but i assume most companies have similar level mediums

i know the basis data structures and search types but i struggle when you need to know some vague algorithm or math concept that would be impossible to quickly derive on the spot

There's one project I'm on and the lead has been vibe coding it for a while. We now have 4 different ways to "initialize" the code when it runs, and six different ways to pass in configuration settings. It's a fucking nightmare.
>>107656954
Yeah, the interview process is fragmented as fuck. Each product group essentially does it themselves, but they all have to use the same central system. Some have their own in house recruiters, some outsource, some have actual processes, some don't. Keep applying to other products. Avoid anything to do with Power Platform or Dynamics though, unless you're planning to kys anyway.
>>107657094
>ALL of the posts are by indians.
It's pretty much like that for every company.
