>asrock board, got it very cheap so I can't really complain
asrock should be OK as far as i know
since you're in gear 2 it's probably some BIOS auto rule that doesn't work properly in that mode
make sure tCWL is tCL or tCL-2
tRDWR or TWRRD timings might need to be adjusted if tCL or tCWL is increased
only even timings should work in gear 2, in theory, for example if you have tRCD 22 that gets converted into 11 IMC cycles
then if you have an odd number like tRCD 23 that has to become 11 or 12 IMC cycles, idk how the BIOS decides this
tRC on intel is tRAS+tRP (and tRC is important on micron), but since you're increasing tRP and not decreasing it that shouldn't be a problem
>was on an apu back then
the 7nm APUs have great memory controllers, those are just straight up better than the intel IMCs

4790T's are twice as bad. I have an old AIO PC I was looking to upgrade but I settled on the 4590T even though it's cucked at 2ghz.

Microcenter is offering good deals to upgrade to AM5, but I'm still waiting, because there is no compelling reason for me to upgrade. I don't think new games are worth it.

If you were going to implement a nested menu program like xmenu but for wayland, what libraries would you use? Wlroots should be able too, but the learning curve is a bit steep
>>
>>107628644
Actually wlroots shouldn't work, turns out it's just for compositors and is the wrong tool for the job when making applications

In C this is just
#include <stdio.h>
#include <signal.h>

void on_error(int sig) {
printf("Could not access primary color");
}

int main() {
signal(SIGSEGV, on_error);
struct user *u = get_user();
printf("Primary color: %s", u->profile->settings->theme->primary_color);
return 0;
}

True, bigger MiniLED displays can get much brighter. But OLEDs still have infinite contrast and if you use them close up like for desktop computer use, even if they only do like 800 nits max for 10% of display area, that's more than bright enough to literally hurt your eyes. The effect is obviously not as good from a couch several meters away.
>>
>>107622808
I do not understand why you would hurt your eyes on purpose.

Python, one of the very few modern & popular programming languages not owned by big tech, is now begging hard for money at python.org (picrel), Wikipedia style.

This comes after the PSF rejected an US government grant because the PSF can't stop shilling for DEI: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/10/28/211237/python-foundation-rejects-government-grant-over-dei-restrictions
The same PSF then reported a surge of new donators following the above rejection: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/11/09/2017240/python-foundation-donations-surge-after-rejecting-grant---but-sponsorships-still-needed
Yet, they are now begging for money, using a big, intrusive and cringe banner at python.org, kek.

This is what your donated money is used for: https://www.python.org/psf/grants
>Conferences (e.g. PyCon Italia)
>Event site subscriptions (Meetup.com) (e.g. London Django Meetup)
>Django Girls Workshops (e.g. Django Girls Busan Workshop)
>PyLadies Workshops (e.g. All Day PyLadies Workshop)

These faggots have a whole page dedicated to their DEI philosophy: https://www.python.org/community/diversity
Their Libera Chat #python IRC channel is filled to the brim with trannies (they/them and she/her pronouns set as their IRC name).

Let's say I have pirated pdf files from around 7 years ago. If one of these pdfs were to contain malware and I opened it, would the malware still work? If the malware is old, wouldn't Windows be updated to combat the virus thus making it obsolete?

No. You still can get infected by Windows 7 or even some xp era malware. The underlying mechanics that viruses use to destroy ur système remain unchanged. It's mostly access gaining methods that get patched. Executing something means you already granted it access. Once it's on your drive, that's something for antivirus to deal with.

Oh cool, a 300tb of low bitrate slop music. Why would I download this when there's already plenty of higher quality torrents and when Soulseek exists? I don't get the point; the whole reason people use streaming apps is due to the convenience and user experience, not just the content.

Either hope that Dell doesn't stop you from using the Shift+F10 command prompt within its OEM 11 install OOBE so you can run the oobe\bypassnro script or use an 11 boot USB to clean wipe the OEM install and install a fresh stock Windows instead in the empty space.

Define bad in this instance. I would also point out that the F35 was also developed in C++ and has had massive software issues for most of it's development.
>>

Not him, but Ada is just annoying to code in.
>>
>>107628729
Agree on it being annoying in some regards, especially with tool chain setup and library handling. Realistically should be used by larger public companies targeting more safety critical things or long term codebases where tech debt becomes a nightmare to handle and it should be done right the first time. Otherwise C is pretty good for like 95% of embedded items.
