Alright /g/, with Raven Ridge coming, let's discuss Integrated Graphics / APU's.Why are they so reliable /g/? We constantly hear about dedicated GPU's shitting the bed, specially on laptops, but how come we never hear about integrated graphics failing? Are they built like a tank?Iris Pro is a few years behind in performance, but look at the size of this thing, it's fucking tiny, it's pretty impressive actually. Do you think Raven Ridge will also be reliable? Do you think it will outperform Iris Pro?
>>107703693Because if your Integrated died, you would think your CPU has died completely, that's why there are no reports of it. Though it's a nice to have if your cpu has.
>>107703693I'm hoocked yo AMD because superior build quality
Isn't raven ridge the old apu?I have an 8700G and its all I need for any sort of gaming at 1440p/60hz and 60fps. I'm running it on a passively cooled system even. I'm not sure if I'd say they're built like a tank, its more that they have massive thermal headroom compared to what people have become accustomed to. When I had the 5800G, it sat at 85C for hours. Still works fine, just have it in the basement PC now.
>>107703693>We constantly hear about dedicated GPU's shitting the bedI haven't. And my GPUs never died and I bought 2 after mining shenanigans.
it copuld be the fact that dust can't kill a igpu as it doesnt have any exposed partsthe dGPU has exposed parts and if dust get in there in can short over time.
Is this a flaw of Grok or am I just using it wrong? If you want to make an small edit using two images it just generates a completely different image
>>107704749How? It always changes the entire image for me so I have to manually merge and inpaint later.

what are some alternatives to OLEDI can afford top range OLED but I cannot afford to change it every 2-3 years, I mean I can but I would find that wasteful. It will used connected to a PC because fuck Smart TV, all I care about is a good panel.was considering TCL but they have half the dimming zones in EU compared to the US
I've been using LG C2 Evo for 3 years, every day for 8hrs+ and it's still absolutely perfect. No dimming, no dead pixels, no issues of any kind. It's a god-tier screen. Everything else looks like shit. I've also had a pleasure to check out my friend's C5 and I couldn't tell much difference when using it as a monitor.I couldn't see myself ever using:a non- OLED screen,or a screen smaller than 40".Also, when deciding between 48" and 42", go for 42".Let me know if you need tips on how to set it up.

Terry used Unity? He might not actually be as much of an edgy fuckwit as I thought. Unity is the greatest thing to happen to Linux since the kernel.

>>107704836Yes, I know bond yields are separate; you’re saying that the problem is that the bonds wouldnt appreciate quickly enough to keep up with inflation, got it. Still, this could be preferable to a general decline in the market or staying in cash. I agree that jumping to gold/silver/bitcoin is not the way to go. >>107704886Yes, but this is just my point. Stocks can remain in bubble territory for a long time so long as nobody calls bullshit (even if they’re thinking it). Tesla is a good example actually. They make a lot of promises that never amount to anything and they don’t make much revenue relative to their stock price. Still, line go up and line stay up. I’m just wondering if anything short of Taiwan invasion will pop the bubble; people seem content to park their money in AI stocks.
>>107703999who the fuck needs profits when they just inflate the fuck out of their stock by using the unspent cash they've managed to save for decades?
It's not a bubbleIndustries across the planet are being reshaped, software engineer is pretty much a dead job, AI is ALREADY making fuckloads of money and its still in the early adoption phasePost-scaleout when all those data-centres are online its going to be fucking insane.
>>107704944>Still, this could be preferable to a general decline in the market or staying in cash.Probably yes.But it's shitty situation regardless.Whereas riding the bubble up and jumping off one nanosecond before it pops would be ideal - and that's what most investors are gambling on (and most will lose and cry). And sure some investors are more sensible and get out sooner (me included) but fund managers who do this will see their customer base leave very quickly so sometimes the irrational thing is the more rational thing.

>blows the fuck out of you're kernel level anti cheatthis is fucking hilarious. doesn't matter if apex, valorant, rust, cs2 faceit or any other league. any FPS is currently unplayable because kids run color/ML aimbots on their second pc and forward inputs to their gayming pc with this 40$ passthrough device. and all the jeet AC devs are too stupid to write an aimbot detection algo that doesn't result in 6 million false positive bans. (the valorant jeets literally used their RAT malware anticheat to check&ban players that stream a centered screen region which is smaller than 512x512 pixels).
This is why I play execution light, planning heavy games like dot-nah I'm just fucking with you, Dota is dead
>>107704715>What is the problem with finding joy in wining? The problem is that biobots somehow condition themselves into getting dopamine spikes from shallow abstractions which inevitably devolves into increasingly more degenerate behaviors when simply winning is not enough, or, god forbid, when you hit your ceiling and start losing.
>>107704715>What is the problem with finding joy in wining?Nothing. But talking about how you deeply value your time and achievements while actively participating in one of the most worthless activities humanity has ever invented is a bit much. Just accept that you're a bit of a mouth breather and are having some stupid fun.
>>107686779Fuck spyware. Fuck "trusted computing". Stallman 4 lyf.
>>107704862Well, to be frank, it's why I don't play many competitive video games anymore.I used to find joy in honing my skill in a fun game and climbing the ranks, but it is a huge buzzkill to just have some subhuman come through with hacks and circumvent all of that. Even worse that these 'people' (much like fitness influences) will claim their abilities are all natural because they have to keep the revenues flowing in.It just sets a fucked up and completely unrealistic standard for people. You have a lot of people out there thinking they're bad at something, when in reality the 'best' are just lying cheaters.
