I just install Windows Server in a TemplateVM qube, set it up once to a very generic and clone worthy level, and cloned it into a few task-oriented TemplateVMs, then made AppVMs and DisposableVMs from them. I need to explore setting up a fresh template for WSUS installed in the TemplateVM, then the WSUS database and configuration gets moved into Q:\, then an AppVM with networking is created with this TemplateVM, then the AppVM [disposable_template=true] is brought up for WSUS to grab Windows Updates, then the AppVM is brought down and a DisposableVM based on the AppVM, with no network itself but with provides network enabled, is spun up, the other Windows TemplateVMs are brought up with network connected to this disposable, and they perform intranet-style updates from the WSUS.

Why do it this way? Because to update Windows, you have to bring down Windows Firewall for svchost in such a way as to allow telemetry to leak. I do not trust the telemetry leaks, and as for the convoluted way of running WSUS it's to ensure no data about Windows templates updating from the WSUS can get uploaded by the WSUS to Microsoft as some end-run around not bringing TemplateVMs directly online to Windows Update.

Also anyone running Windows, who does not go to Start > Run, gpedit.msc, then go to Windows Firewall settings under Computer Configuration, and do the following:

Set all profiles outgoing to Block.
Set all profiles incoming to Block All.
Ensure the option to ignore local firewall rules is enabled, so ONLY group policy firewall rules apply.
Delete ALL inbound and outbound rules.
Enable DHCP and DNS outbound.
Create an svchost.exe rule for rare updates, keep it disabled most of the time.
Create a rule for each executable you intend to allow access to the internet; you can even set user restrictions, port restrictions, address restrictions, protocol restrictions, etc... play around and explore/research!

This is the only way to make "safe" for use. AFAIK Windows still obeys its firewall, so long as you made sure you have set ignore local rules in the group policy editor for Windows Firewall; Windows creates local rules automatically for its shitware and the policy must be set to ignore those.

If you include the standard I/O library, C is Turing complete.

However, freestanding C without the standard library is only PDA-complete.

Yeah that's why I said past 2026. It can be solved with an AI now it's just not worth the compute cost probably.

I don't have an issue with that because I never used the ban evason site to dodge captchas, I used it to be able to post in the first place (all my everything is rangebanned for reasons outside my control even after verifying with email, and it's not even my fault it was other schizos in city or using residetial proxies or something)

I still know what an apple looks like even if I can't picture it in my head, if that makes sense

>How do you know if the generated image is what you wanted when you can't imagine what you want?
I can't imagine it (see it in my head), but I know what would look more or less correct.

E.g I know what a little Russian-jewish girl in a frilly bikini with a star of David necklace sitting on an American redneck's shoulders should look like even if i can't see a picture in my head, since I know what a girl sitting on someone's shoulders looks like, I know what a redneck looks like etc

People who say this just don’t understand anything. If you are chasing pointers in C and use a memory arena in Java, then even Java will be faster. And given the same code the different between C and cpp/rust is negligible. You use C if you have to meet very specific hardware or platform requirements or if you’re processing such massive amounts of data that a 10 cycles difference with cpp may turn into 10 minutes of execution time
>>
>>107603899
And I’m not even sure about the latter. DirectX is cpp unlike vulkan and opengl and it’s just as fast.

The GeForce 256 is an interesting historical landmark, but it wasn't a great product and a terrible purchase for those who bought one. The original SDR version was pretty slow and the DDR version released a couple of months later was replaced by the GeForce2 GTS just four months later, which was much faster and significantly less hot and power-hungry.

3090 Ti is probably the least housefire tier xx90 GPU because it has the best power delivery. If it's the same price or less than a 5070 I'd take it if I can use the extra memory. I'd kill for a deal like that here.

You can probably fix these issues if you're techsavy enough.
But people buying prebuilts aren't probably that techsavy in the first place. At least I can fix most of these issues so I feel comfortable recommending these to family and friends, as long as I get my hands on it first so I can fix it for them. I can avoid recommending them parts and I avoid having to build it for them.

Reminds me of that time I found a dead project that hogged a cool domain that was registered for 10 years and soon expiring. Camped the whole night to wait for the second it drops from unpaid to free to register and like 15 seconds before the registrar was about to expire the domain it got extended for three years. Just fucking why. This is a project that failed 8 years ago as far as I can tell.
