>Our North Star is ‘1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code.’ To accomplish this previously unimaginable task, we’ve built a powerful code processing infrastructure. Our algorithmic infrastructure creates a scalable graph over source code at scale. Our AI processing infrastructure then enables us to apply AI agents, guided by algorithms, to make code modifications at scale. The core of this infrastructure is already operating at scale on problems such as code understanding.”

and its not like they can’t do it themselves, it’s more like they don’t want to put in the effort
i mean no wonder people want to ai everything nowadays
funnily enough: i had a problem with linking a while ago, couldn’t solve it (mostly also didn’t care to solve) and all another guy could do to “help” me was to ask github copilot, that either hallucinated or suggested the things i tried hours before
>>
So- for the lulz of it, I did some quick math.
MS's proposed target is 1 engineer, 1mil Loc, 1 month.

Assuming an average of 22 work days in a month, and a 40hr work week meaning 8hrs per day, that means an effective 176hrs per month of work time.
Assuming the AI can rewrite all the code with minimal effort in prompting and the claims that Microsoft makes wrt their "algorithms and infrastructure" actually being valid (spoiler: hell no it won't be, but just for the sake of it let's look at the IDEAL scenario - right?) and there is near-zero work in anything but actually reviewing and testing the output of this ... thing,

that means you need to consistently - non-stop - review and have tests passing on 5600~5700 lines of code per hour. Again: non-stop. No coffee breaks. No bathroom breaks. No daily status meetings. No chit-chat. No nothing. 5600~5700 lines read and reviewed per hour. NON-FUCKING-STOP.

The average book has 40-60 lines per page, so let's use 50. That means you have to REVIEW (which assumes a level of understanding far deeper than just 'read') over 110 pages per hour.

I'm just going to pause here for a bit.
So everyone can spend the next ... oh... half hour or so? I suppose? exhausting the immense cannonry of laughter they've been holding in.

Suffice to say: whatever dimwit at Microsoft came up with this deserves a high five.

That means you have to REVIEW (which assumes a level of understanding far deeper than just 'read') over 110 pages per hour.
Or to make that a bit more poignant:
You have approx. 30 seconds per page, give or take blinking your eyes.

>>
>>107643942
You can laugh all you want, but you know damn well the Indians are just going to approve everything without reading a single line of code. The dictated targets will be reached with room to spare, the targets will be raised, the jeets will click approve faster, the managers will rejoice, and we just reinvented communism with replacement migration.

My project predates theirs. I made the Tuba model for Nexuiz and the trigger_heal QuakeC code for Nexuiz. Maps of ChaosEsque and the config and quakeC I made pre-date Xonotic and are from the Nexuiz era.

But notice your logic:
>Who you are matters
>Not the work
Which is what I argued against since the drive for "community" in the Nexuiz days instead of doing the work.

I haven't tried the game out in a while now (do you still need to mount 2 ISOs to install it?) but I wonder if with how much miscellaneous content is present in your engine beyond regular arena shooter mechanics, the game at this point is more like gmod and would benefit from more of a focus on sandbox mechanics. am I right in saying quakec can work a lot like lua where scripts can be dynamically loaded in custom servers?

except they never claimed anything in the first place, you just added that kek, but anyway:
>where were train and rails invented? the UK
>where were solar cells and panels invented? France and the US
>where were cars and later electric cars invented? the US and France
>who pioneered space exploration, rockets, satellites, space stations and so on? the west in general but especially the US
>who created drones? France
>who created the first microchip? UK and the US
the only thing China is capable of is copying the West, stealing IP and corrupt employees. then you will scale up manufacturing because you have a billion+ peasants who are incapable of creating and innovating
regarding your paper tiger army, reminder that the last time a Western army combat footage was captured it was with an iPhone 16, and China was on oil and canvas
the fact that you can't even help your biggest almighty Russian neighbor win a war against the poorest country in Europe says a lot

btw call me when China will have drinking tap water

You said conservatives are the problem and that Germany now under Merz is in the shitter. Merz is in the same party as Merkel. They're propped up by the same party base, they delegate(d) to the same party functionaries. None of them are conservatives. Who dunnit? Ole Schlonz? He's even less of a conservative.
>>
>>107644267
oh boy, the "we have more invention museum exhibits" argument.

you're listing who invented things, not who can deploy, scale, and maintain them.
>the UK invented rail...
... and then dismantled it.
>the US invented mass auto...
... and now can't even build mass transit, and you're forced to sacrifice thousands of soldiers and billions in weapons to obtain more oil.

china didn’t invent rail, it built the largest high-speed rail network on earth in 15 years and still runs it.

the difference between the west and china is that china can build things to scale and make them continuously useable.
on that metric, waving around "who invented X first" in the 1800s is about as relevant as saying slaves built your government's infrastructure (hi america, btw).

also funny how you pivoted from "rail debt" to a greatest hits cope list once that angle died lmfao.

What's the strategy when buying powered usb hubs, the safest way would probably be buying one of those that have 5V 2A usb c to a so you don't need to use changs power unit and burn down moms basement. But I say today that they have cables that are those 5,5mm barrel to usb a/c as well. Is that a good idea? Or will mom be sad when the house burns down?

nothing has really changed, the chinks figured out a way to bypass the fees by just shipping items in bulk instead of individual packages.
prices have genuinely barely been impacted.
>>107644029
all computer fans are chinkshit already, it's a completely globalized product.
your best bet is refurbished ones direct from brands on ebay or something.
i have had good results from buying "damaged" water coolers and just taking the fans, they are usually completely unused and the radiators were just damaged in shipping. sometimes it's just completely cosmetic and you can get a full AIO water cooler for peanuts.
