>>106488242>>106488257It's not my money though, and the value proposition doesn't really seem there for what it costs, can't believe I'm fucking considering HP zbook fury as an alternative, a fucking HP, is that really the state of things in 2025 lmaoSaid it in another thread but wondering if I can convince my boss to let me buy a SFF pc and lug it around instead. At least that shit makes sense to me.Thanks regardless anons, as a token of gratitude please enjoy this rare picture from my maymay folder
I'm looking for a thinkpad that has decent power, is built well, but also has a replaceable keyboard, ram, storage, and fan, as those are likely failure points. I was looking at the P16 or T15, but the fans are riveted to the heatsink, meaning a replacement when I would probably need it in a few years would be expensive or impossible to source.

When i had this happen to me it was because i had auto mounted another drive linux wasnt installed on and then held the power button down to power off instead of proper shutdown. Did you do either of these things op? Becauase luckily i still had a bootable live iso installed on a usb that i used to boot into and then properly unmounted the drive, fixed the dirty bytes causing issues, turned off the auto mount for the drive i didnt need, and then i was able to boot back into my main distro just fine. You gotta know how to use the terminal tho

what i am to expect from running this on a single drive with compression on root system?has btrfs gotten better lately?i just setup grub-brtfs and it works as advertised. snapshots work.i would run zfs if only if it was better integrated during kernel upgrades.
You will have effectively about 20% more space. I recommend forcing zstd:1 if your storage is fast.
>>106495099I recommend keeping /boot on its own ext4 partition, makes recovery in the case of failures much easier to deal with. I've used btrfs for non-essential storage for a long time, its been pretty stable and the compression feature is by far the best thing about it.
>>106495099>what i am to expect from running this on a single drive with compression on root system?Data loss>has btrfs gotten better lately?Yes, but it still eats data>i just setup grub-brtfs and it works as advertisedFor now
Ok, /g/, how do we get filthy stinking RICH using AI? I know there has to be a way...
>>106495270all money made online is a grind, the ai can help the grind. but its still a grind. always will be. good thing is, if u grind hard on something, after its complete, u can continue to sell it for years and years, so thats a plus. still a grind to sell it however. the reason people even bother in the first place, is because i can sit on my ass and do it, no commute, no boss. basically you have to think about it the boring way that it is. because jobs are boring, thats why they give u money to do it!!!!!!!!!!oh also a benefit is that when you get money, its easy to make money via arbitrage marketing with the principle being very simple:>spend less on ads than you make from people clicking them and buying>compounds>compounds>compounds>compounds
Ok guise. OP here. Here is my idea: AI powered VR environment creator. You tell it what you want around you, it immediately generates it into the VR environment. Matrix loading program basically.

Why isn't there a site that's like a reverse kickstarter? Where people post money to get something built and then you can go and build it and get the money.
I already know it's because kickstarter is for scams and nothing there actually gets built and if anyone could come and take the scammed money it wouldn't work but still I wish there was something like that that wasn't a scam btw I know this tag doesn't actually work here
