I've just checked ebay and yeah the i7 T480 seem expensive here. but I see quite a few i7 T480S for around 200, still a good deal even if the T480S doesn't have two batteries and only one RAM stick can be upgraded

I was browsing ThinkPad's on eBay and noticed that this one seller seems to be using AI generated images: https://www.ebay.com/itm/167773720333 The keys look rather strange. What do you all think?

if not AI generated it's definitely fishy. even the text on the screen is weird, and weird text on the keys aside, the layout is unheard of and there are 2 L keys on it kek

Insane that it's 20k revenue when I'm pretty sure that's how much they were charging as a minimum investment.

The Sircles CEO is a egomaniacal schizo. It's not clear to me that he actually knows he's scamming people but he's a massive retard. Secondhand info I've gotten suggests that he apparently has never had a business plan. When he was asked once about a business plan, he pointed to some kid in the office and said "he's good with computers" and that's the closest thing he's ever had.
Same guy apparently has a tendency to threaten employees.

All the same people who do Sircles are also Tech2U owners. Apparently Tech2U is morally bankrupt as a company. Another ex employee told me once they had him do the same service call to a dementia patient like 6 times because the guy couldn't remember and kept calling. When he spoke up about it, they told him it wasn't his place to have an opinion

Does it help and make it easier to learn C++ if you learn C first?

No, it sucks for that. Squeak or any Smalltalk would be far better. Or, a simple lisp like Scheme.

>Does it help and make it easier to learn C++ if you learn C first?

Who was the retard who posted that image?

Rust is written in Rust
most Lisp implementations are written in Lisp
Fortran impls are written in Fortran
Pascal impls are written in Pascal
OCaml impls are written in OCaml
Haskell impls are written in Haskell

Every time you have a decent. not shitty, not toy, language, the implementations end up being written in that language, not C.

If C is so good, how come there is no D?

there literally is, and it has some interesting ideas

>>106518553
>we rewrote it in itself after writing it in C or C++ therefore it wasn’t written the language it was clearly written in
>we wrote the base of the language in C and then used that base to write the libraries in itself therefore the language was never actually written in C even though it was

I dunno, if you told anyone 5 years ago that AI would take most artists jobs they’d think you’re crazy but now gen AI can produce in a minute a piece that is better than what 95% of artists can manage. The progress is clearly there even if there is some stuff it’s still bad at.
>>
>>106518600
That's why I said AGI. So far a general intelligence is extremely elusive. Any of these models embodied in the physical world would fail at so many tasks we find trivial.

I'm tired of two-factor authentication being shoved into everything now, it's ridiculous. Why should I have to use my email to activate an account for a service that has nothing online, or at least shouldn't, and won't be using any of my personal information? Why should I use 2FA at all?
It's clear they're just harvesting extra information to sell, since that's all everything does online. I tried looking up more information for evidence on this though, because whenever I bring this up I get almost exclusively redditors with their BUT POOFACTOR AUTHENTICATION IS GOOD FOR YOU YUM YUM YUM PBBBBT I LOVE POOPIE fucking idiots, fucking low IQ vermin. I would pray for the whole downfall of Earth just so that those wall-eyed sycophant cretins would die out but I know they're too moronic to even understand true misery and would likely be ignorant of it even happening. God I wish visiting Reddit gave you aggressive anal cancer. Please lord, Please Jesus Christ. I have never asked anything of you but this.

Please fellow journeymen of /g/, pray as hard as possible with me for this to happen to them.

Anyway, it's clear to me that shit like this will continue to trifle with the quality of the internet because of them eating it all up. You soon won't be able to get online without fully confirming your identity and signing off DNA rights to GayBlackLovers Corp.

He let AI and VR slip. Apple is on maintenance mode with no new innovation.

The mobile business is much worse in regards to innovation than Mac. At least we got apple silicon 5 years on the Mac. Windows 11 is in a much worse state than Mac OS is.
