In order to avoid the nonsensical CVE clusterfuck that is io_uring we either have to write-lock the input pages, or copy the data into the kernel. Write-locking pages causes expensive inter-process interrupts because there might be a read-write entry in some TLB that is now obsolete and has to be shot down, which can only be avoided if the translation is only ever available for the current thread.
