MMO mice are a godsend when working with any sort of advanced tools that may require a tablet/stylus like Blender/Photoshop, and you are left handed.
>>
>>107610539
I'm right handed and it's a godsend on image and video programs, because I've never bothered learning most shortcuts, and because I just instantly move my thumb a little instead of stretching my fingers across the keyboard, hoping I hit the right keys.

Are there any recommendations for the best web browser to use other than Chrome?
>>
>>107611418
i realized that there's no best anything when i realized how much i cope with any choice i make. when im distrohopping, i always manage to rationalize somehow how the hop makes sense and that *this* time it'll all be perfect, then obviously i find so many issues and the hopping continues, same with browsers, same with anything. literally just pick things at random and rationalize why its perfect

K1rakishou woke up from his deep slumber and fixed the captcha today after a 15 month coma.
Only fixed in the KurobaEx beta builds, no updated real release yet.

v1.3.35.5-beta

It's nice to have a working captcha again but some of the UI changes in this beta build are a bit weird.

Highlight filters seem to work fine. Multiple words filter is broken completely for me.
I posted fine twice and then started getting IP rangeban error.
>>
>>107611325
Didn't the 4chan source leak prove that the abuse IP block was just a rand(0,1)? If so, does it persist for that device+IP/user agent+IP combo or is there a way to force a reroll without resetting the router and having to rack up new goy points for the cookie?
>>
I see 3 cookies that are sent when I try to post on the browser, unsure if kuroba also sets all these. But it could be a cookie thing.
__cf_bm: unsure what is this about
_tcs: timezone/time stuff
4chan_pass: probably something to track if you're a pass user
cf_clearance: which seems to be the cloudflare cookie
Now I haven't debugged kurobaex but can someone check if it sends all 3 cookies? Does anybody have the technical know-how to get this thing checked?
Android dev is not my strong suit and I don't want to install java.
>>

OK FINE, new Dickcheese 2.0, I will consider using KurobaEX since I managed to tweak the layout similarly to Kuroba and Blue Clover, but FIRST you need to fix 2 things specifically for me and my ego:
1) the catalog search does not filter threads, it's just a ctrl+F
2) there's no way to disable the sliding thread tab on the right of the catalog in phone layout, you can only disable the "slide it back to hide it". I don't need that gesture and even if hidden it occupies a thin space on the right that drives me insane. Or is it the scroll bar? Either way, the visible scroll bar is also useless, you already made the tob bar hideable and the bottom android bar transparent, so why leave that ugly grey space on the right?
I also preferred the old horizontal marker to separate old posts from new posts, rather than the single bars on the left, because the horizontal bar was persistent and didn't fade away until you reached the bottom of the thread, but I can live with this.

Python, one of the very few modern & popular programming languages not owned by big tech, is now begging hard for money at python.org (picrel), Wikipedia style.

This comes after the PSF rejected an US government grant because the PSF can't stop shilling for DEI: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/10/28/211237/python-foundation-rejects-government-grant-over-dei-restrictions
The same PSF then reported a surge of new donators following the above rejection: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/11/09/2017240/python-foundation-donations-surge-after-rejecting-grant---but-sponsorships-still-needed
Yet, they are now begging for money, using a big, intrusive and cringe banner at python.org, kek.

This is what your donated money is used for: https://www.python.org/psf/grants
>Conferences (e.g. PyCon Italia)
>Event site subscriptions (Meetup.com) (e.g. London Django Meetup)
>Django Girls Workshops (e.g. Django Girls Busan Workshop)
>PyLadies Workshops (e.g. All Day PyLadies Workshop)

These faggots have a whole page dedicated to their DEI philosophy: https://www.python.org/community/diversity
Their Libera Chat #python IRC channel is filled to the brim with trannies (they/them and she/her pronouns set as their IRC name).

I'm technically a Python developer because I submitted a pull request to Python and it got accepted.
The pull request's purpose was ENTIRELY to change low-level details to make my own undocumented hackery easier, but I bullshitted them by saying it was to "improve efficiency".

I really hate how fucking slow w11 feels, it's unbearable that every single program feels so clunky. And I have no money so I'm not upgrading until I'm done with college and get a proper job. So I know for sure that until late 2027 there's no updoots for me, but I feel FUD/FOMO when using LTSC and worry that a new game I'd like won't be playable, or shit like Secure boot won't work after june, so it makes me want to stay on W11 GAC despite the cancerous bloat.
>>
>>107611289
Could always just move to IoT LTSC 2024 via in-place upgrade. Easy enough to debloat.

Thank you for all the information anon. I'm fortunate enough for a friend to donate me a decent system so I'll reinstall fresh windows using the guide. I've always used the cracked the pirate bay version of windows since windows xp. I've somehow never had my accounts hacked or credit cards stolen.
>>
>>107611407
Well since Windows 10 released you can just install Windows for free without a hacked ISO. Just make sure to use the Enterprise version for easy local account creation then use the script suite MAS to activate it. Use HWID cause it's easiest.

I imagine that zooms might look at something like this and assume that millenials are retarded because they liked to plaster brands all over their phones and desktops but I just think they don't get it.
There's a certain section of millenials and late gen X-ers who grew up at the time when you had a nice comfy family PC at home, maybe built one for yourself for your own room to do your "homework" orn but you riced out the ass with at first classic themes, wallpapers & screensavers, then windowsblinds to rainmeter.

It was a different time, before social media, before the GFC. When having an eternal darkness wally and theme before you boot up a game like starcraft or red alert in the evening, watching star trek TNG & DS9 episodes in the background was your comfy night in.

I wake up every day and thank the third worlders and developing nations who still take part in these rituals, creathing sick ass themes of A2's thigh gap for every device known to man. Amen.

>>
>>107611368
Not really. You can read the sentence. It isn't malicious, it's recognising that much of gen Z are cynical about brands and the state of the world. Having viewed things through a different lens and having spent their formative years in a different media landscape.
Many of them will have grown up in an age where they interface with the world primarily through 16:9 flatscreen technologies, social media and mobile operating systems that are standardised.
While something like android isn't less themeable per se than a symbian OS was or a sony ericcson handset, they didn't spend their years ordering ringtones and banners for their 3310.

It wasn't malicious at all. I was merely ruminating and speculating on how odd it must appear to them that we grew up fascinated by brands. Nintendo of 2025 is a different beast from Nintendo in 2003.
Theming your entire OS around super mario party jamboree has a different connotation today.

because it was the first decent and popular 3d acellerator, there was several years where it was the only sensible option. lots of games supported them while anything else had like 5 games that used them. This was the pre-opengl/directx days
>>
>>107609608
well if you want to be pedantic, directx existed, but direct3d was still new-and-upcoming, and opengl had been around for years, but it was made for expensive workstations, so not suited for cheap consumer hardware. the voodoo instead used a cut-down form of opengl called glide that just included the parts real-time games needed
