I've only not made top score among the section at a range day once. I missed literally one shot, and while I don't distinctly remember it, the C7 has a problem where the trigger doesn't reset properly so the next pull is always inconsistent. I dunno if it's a general AR platform thing or just the C7, but I don't like it. I put clean holes in dimes at 20m with a .177 and am accurate enough with a pistol for combat. Unfortunately, I'm a huge pussy and have never taken a rifle combat shooting course anyway and am horrendously out of shape, and they only draw snipers from infantry despite how far you can walk without complaining, so it's IT for me. They probably have homing lasers these days anyway

How in the world are we losing features now?
Software today does LESS than it did in the past but it still uses MORE resources to do those things which they do fewer of now.
Absolutely insane.
L

There is an idea that tech improves as time goes on, but this computer tech has only been around for less than a century. In the grand scheme of things, we just don't have the historical data to really understand how things will go with this. The best we can do it look at examples like the fall of Rome and with it all of its lost tech. But you can only compare it so much to back then.
>>
>>107618980
Thing is old tech and programs work perfectly fine. You're just being pushed away from them, quite desperately and in all kinds of underhanded ways.
And yes, new tech and new programs can be building upon old ones when needed - WHEN needed - and become even better. But this is not what's happening.
>>
>>107619006
Because old tech was made with more refined processes since everything that went out was set in stone for the most part and the requirements weren't overly complex (at least they didn't have to depend on thousands of things to work properly).
Agile, indians, dependency hell, and just plain old morons in general are the real causes where we see all this broken crap today. Im lucky I dont have to work with indians, but we still have morons, still do agile haphazardly, and we have hundreds of direct dependencies (which branch out to 10s of thousands). Everything we are making just keeps coming apart and our customers get angry.
People here just don't care or if they do, they learn not to care because all their attempts at fixing things is met by strong opposition.

Python, one of the very few modern & popular programming languages not owned by big tech, is now begging hard for money at python.org (picrel), Wikipedia style.

This comes after the PSF rejected an US government grant because the PSF can't stop shilling for DEI: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/10/28/211237/python-foundation-rejects-government-grant-over-dei-restrictions
The same PSF then reported a surge of new donators following the above rejection: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/11/09/2017240/python-foundation-donations-surge-after-rejecting-grant---but-sponsorships-still-needed
Yet, they are now begging for money, using a big, intrusive and cringe banner at python.org, kek.

This is what your donated money is used for: https://www.python.org/psf/grants
>Conferences (e.g. PyCon Italia)
>Event site subscriptions (Meetup.com) (e.g. London Django Meetup)
>Django Girls Workshops (e.g. Django Girls Busan Workshop)
>PyLadies Workshops (e.g. All Day PyLadies Workshop)

These faggots have a whole page dedicated to their DEI philosophy: https://www.python.org/community/diversity
Their Libera Chat #python IRC channel is filled to the brim with trannies (they/them and she/her pronouns set as their IRC name).

I would rather tongue the anus of a street beggar than go back to Perl.
There is a reason much of Unix scripting moved away from Perl, too bad Python was created by a boomer redditor.

P.S. The Perl Foundation has its biggest donor in the form of Duck Duck Go (owned and ran by a jew that filter results).

>Is Intel going back to the 90s?
Not anymore, but 15 years ago they sure tried.
Intel only made these AIBs from the early-to-mid-2010's. Here is the first generation:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/products/sku/80555/intel-xeon-phi-coprocessor-7120a-16gb-1-238-ghz-61-core/specifications.html
It says "61 cores" but they had 4 threads per core, and there were versions with as many as 72 cores. The idea was to take on massively parallel GPU workloads by shipping a "CPU" whose main purpose was to run a gorillion AVX-512 cores instead. Obviously it didn't work.

what happened to amd
they used to compete with nvidia years ago, now they are completely irrelevant and forgotten and people who want an alternative to nvidia would rather believe in Intel entering the gpu market or chinks making competitive gpus out of nowhere
>>
>>107618580
>the Philippines used to make GPUs?
The image is a CPU. There was a time where CPUs came on a board and the board slotted into the motherboard:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slot_1
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slot_A

As for the location, the chips aren't fabbed there. Instead that it is where the silicon was shipped to be and are assembled (put on the card or now in a package) and tested. For many years Intel did this in places like Costa Rica and Malaysia.

Avoid those color scheme websites like the plague.

My strategy with web design is to look at a bunch of web sites - well designed or not - until I get a good idea of what I want to do, then I do it. With color schemes I would start by designing the theme of the website around two or three eye catching colors. Then based on that I would pick an off-white to be the background color, a black to be text color. Then pick a slightly darker shade of white to be a background for areas that need to stand out, a dark color for highlighted text. The "theme" colors only get used very occasionally, eg for ctas, but they inform the rest of the design.

Neat and tidy edition

Bang for buck, cheapest you can get is going to be 1k polling. 1k is pretty standard at this point. If you are okay with that, keychron Q series, specifically standard, not max or pro, is cheap as shit right now. Most of them are like $50 and 2 years ago they would have been ~$220. As an entry level option you are not going to beat that price for an alu board, so that would be an obvious recommendation from me, even though I think keychron is boring and just ok in terms of quality.
