Never had any. brb gonna kill myself.

I’ve been running Linux Mint for over four years and was happy with it until the recent drama, especially the AI security scan fiasco. It really shook my trust in the maintainers.

I started looking for alternatives, but after testing hundreds of distros, none of them met my expectations for stability and reliability. I began to accept that my system would just break from time to time until I found a thread recommending Windows Seven as a rock-solid alternative.

After researching, it turns out this version is still surprisingly usable. It’s stable, reliable, and with extended updates plus a good firewall, security isn’t a major issue.

Has anyone else tried this? How did it go for you? Personally, I haven’t run into a single problem so far.

I have 40" 3840x2160 display and it has 1:1 same size stuff like some old 20" 1920x1080 monitors people had no trouble using. I use 96 dpi and same font sizes that Windows 7 had (Liberation Sans/Serif/Mono). After using this for over 10 years, I might switch to three 42" to make it same size as 24" 1920x1080 so that I can have them further back.

I got a jacket and 2 new hoodies. Bought myself and s25 ultra a week ago as an early gift for myself. My family knows I'm not good with gifts so I don't expect to get anything and I don't really give any either. I rather just enjoy the food and alcohol. When you have social anxiety giving out gifts is the worst

the other day i talked about my 5 9600x running over 90ºC during gaming
i found this guy teaching about undervolting
https://youtu.be/9-DkNR7DAsg
is this safe?
>>
>>107671589
worst case with undervolting is you crash
>>
>>107671589
Undervolting won't damage your components like overclocking. The worse that will happen is your PC shuts off or some shit. So it's fine.
t. 5900x undervolted at the max which is -30 or whatever and my temperatures idle are around mid 30s-40s, and gaming barely goes above mid 60s

Is it over?

Also since BF6 came out decided to gift my lil bro a 9070 XT so we can play together without him using all low settings, just like I got him a HD5770 back when BF3 came out. In the linux threads everyone is saying I gave him coal and I feel bad.

>Our North Star is ‘1 engineer, 1 month, 1 million lines of code.’ To accomplish this previously unimaginable task, we’ve built a powerful code processing infrastructure. Our algorithmic infrastructure creates a scalable graph over source code at scale. Our AI processing infrastructure then enables us to apply AI agents, guided by algorithms, to make code modifications at scale. The core of this infrastructure is already operating at scale on problems such as code understanding.”

These people don't operate in material reality. It's all news headlines and fiction. Most of these "tech bro" people don't actually do anything with technology anymore they're just businessmen, it's just not that lucrative to do any actual work. Tech is just the dominant industry way back then you had people like Henry Ford doing equally or more comically evil things.

my first experience as a kid in an internet cafe (more like a LAN party place) was fucking around with the Windows UI until one of the guys that ran the place came up to me and said
>wtf u tryina do here lil bro?? what game u wanna play?
>"starcraft" (i just knew the name)
he launches it for me, i'm like, "cool, i have no idea what the fuck i'm doing"
so i quit that and played Need For Speed with arrow keys instead, until my time ran out
>>
>>107659570
you know direct dial multiplayer doesn't use the internet either way, right? it's just a telephone call directly between two modems, i played AoE a few times like that with a friend who didn't yet have internet service

>>107671572
and yes, it's as hard to set up a game as you'd think, considering you need to coordinate the connection over the only line you can talk to the person over, so like you call them, tell them what to do and when, hang up, and just hope they do it right

Are these things even worth it anymore? I have the original 8GB pic related. Now the 16GB is almost $170 and the HAT is pretty useless though its done a 2x street price since launch. I could get a lattepanda or something. I like the idea of a Pi5 16GB: enough memory and processor to run better/larger LLMs off 2.5W at ~1 token/sec. Even a solar battery. It's cool to have a philosopher in a box like that. The tinker side GPIO and stuff doesn't interest me for personal projects. Anyway should I just get a Jetson Nano or N150 or something.
