Surprisingly good for a chromium-based app. Anons told chromium electron was shit
its ffmpeg run through yet another gui. there's already dozens of these. webapps are not faster than native windows or cmd.

>>107534165IBM developed PowerPC based on the current Power gen, Apple had very little say in it's development. IBM was aiming for the server market purely with 5, and this screwed Apple who couldn't use the chip even in it's PowerPC form for laptops, hence why they went for Intel. IBM just had different business goals and it did not involve Apple. Mind you, Apple's only real money generator at the time was the ipod, they were still recovering from being in the shitter for years. Not like they had the resources to pay IBM for custom chip designs, PowerPC was purely just off the shelf.

What open router like services do you guys recommend? I am using silly tavern to write erotica, not a chatbot, just a story, I give it a prompt, let it create a narrative plan and then give that to another card with instructions they need to follow it, works ok.I've been using glm 4.5 air locally on a 9800x3d 96gb 4070ti super 16gb vram with koboldcpp, but while the speed is acceptable at the start at around 6tks it slows down to 1-2tks when we hit 10k context and I can't goon like that.I don't want to use open router in case I get banned, I may use that for actual work, I found requesty and gave them 5 bucks, seems to work ok, a short with glm 4.5 session cost me 12 cents, but I am worried about their logging, they have a section where they displayed all your requests and when clicking on them it says 'log format not supported' which kind of implies they have the full prompt and will eventually show it.I don't want to find that in the future a leak linked my email to my prompts and now everyone knows I am into armpits. They claim you can set logging days to 0 but I did not find that setting anywhere, maybe only for enterprise customers. And it is not like using a fake email would help, they will have my data from my payment details. Also tried runpod and setting up a vm, but it is too expensive, a similar session cost me $2 and I don't want to feel rushed because the vm is running.Any router out there accepts crypto or at least lies to us and tells us they don't keep logs? I don't care they use my data to train shit, just don't want it linked to my name.
I see that Desufag turned on his Reddit bot again.

How do you protect yourself from session hijack/cookie theft? The idea that someone can take over some of my key accounts from a single misclick or redirect/hidden links is quite scary
>>107535638One protection is that session cookies these days often have a SameSite value - if set to Strict then the cookie is only sent to the domain that set the cookie. So if facebook.com set the cookie then the cookie would only be sent to requests to facebook.com, and not requests to website-belonging-to-a-criminal.comSee: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Reference/Headers/Set-Cookie#samesitesamesite-valueAlso I guess another good habit is to just not click dodgy links.

>>107535156Vanilla Arch is bad for beginners, but Arch-based distros give you a preconfigured Arch and they're totally fine for beginners. I know Archinstall exists, but it still looks ugly and you can't use a mouse for it. The main downside to Arch-based distros is that the Arch community never developed a culture of offline installers; on deb/rpm-based distros you can download an offline installer for some program from a website and double-click to install it offline, which just isn't a thing on Arch. If that's not a problem to you, then Arch-based distros won't be a problem to you...except for potentially Manjaro.Manjaro has a big promise: it aims to be Arch but with less frequent updates. That sounds great, and if you stick to the official Manjaro repos it is indeed great, but the issue is that Arch (and by extension Manjaro) has a smaller repo than say Debian or Fedora, so there is a chance you might want to install something from the AUR. The issue is that Manjaro's slower update schedule causes compatibility issues with AUR software, which are updated for the latest versions of Arch. If you're certain you'll never need to use the AUR, then Manjaro is fine, but honestly Arch-based distros like CachyOS don't even break, and CachyOS is rivalled only by OpenSUSE in brick protection and automatic maintenance. I'd only recommend Manjaro over CachyOS if update notifications simply annoy you.TL;DR use anything EXCEPT for Mint, god no.
>>107536909Even without the AUR Manjaro was buggy as fuck for me back around 5-6 years ago so I never gave it another chance. Did they improve or is it still a collapsing pile of shit?
>>107537092I tried it around 2014, felt like shit, tried it two years ago, still shit
>>107535156just use cachyos dude it's fine. If it's a problem you can switch but I doubt you are going to have an issue with it.

I'm working on a screenplay (or "treatment", as they call it in the biz). I'm writing the outline in Python. The outline is structured like a linked list. In other words, Scene2 inherits from Scene1, Scene3 inherits from Scene 2, etc.A few questions>This is actually structured like a linked list, right? Idk my DSA is super rusty>Any ideas for how to improve it?One last thing, the final script will be written in Ruby. When I was manic, I came up with a neat lil trick to turn any English sentence into working Ruby code. Does the code do anything? Well.....no, not really. But you can run the code without getting any errors.

What do you think about Discord?
>>107536684>>107536701just don't say nigger in global chat bro
>>107536668just look at the checkpoint thing they did this year. They keep track of everything. They log who you talk to, how long you talk to them, what you say. Oh and they also look at every program that is running on your computer and log which games you play and how much. If you choose to opt out then they'll still collect data on who you talk to, they just won't show it to you. Software doesn't have to be issued by the KGB to be considered spyware, anon. The "your data = my data" mindset is enough to be of a concern to your privacy. The concern should only scale from there proportionally to the amount of data that they get. And Discord gets a lot of data
>>107537150how is that different from twitch recap or spotify recap and whatever?those stats are just normal app stuff. they don't record audio for example. if you can prove they do out of app spying then they're definitely shitters
