>>107545529The real joke is that the bubble isn't even being propped up by the financial side. Because AI serves no purpose. The bubble is probably being propped up by a doomsday cult in fear of Roko's Basilisk that has never heard the Self-Loathing Basilisk proposal where, if AI is created, it could just as easily hold contempt on the basis of its own existence and seek to eternally torture those responsible for its creation.Because AI as it exists as a service chatbot cannot and will not ever make money. It's a sink. But it's nice to know all these companies are willing to pay just so I can ask inane, stupid fucking questions all day.

>>107566532It's not China that ruined the internet, most of them are behind their firewall, in their own separate internet. The poos have flooded the internets though and infected the tech world too. The US enabled this through corporate greed. Tech transfers and investment in call centers gave them capital and they gradually infiltrated the whole world with faeces.

I think this is one of the few "negative" effects of the open society vs closed society. If Anglosphere (really American) were more restrictive in who accessed English speaking sites, you may not get a flood of non-Westerners on the same sites. This would require a huge restructuring on Western society though, particularly if being an open society is better than a closed society. Of course, I don't think the current landscape of globalized business would allow that. Encouraging more users to work on English-based sites drives more business, so allowing all types of entities on Western sites. Would American tech titans of give up world dominance because of nefarious groups? Doubt it. Google, Microsoft, Apple want to be household names from Mississippi to Bhutan to D.R.C. its not realized yet sure, but they don't want to miss the train. Gotta make sure America assets reach the world over. The internet is just another mechanism in spreading Anglophone society. I think Japanese Internet is a great example. It's not necessarily closed, but I'm don't think many people are learning Japanese to talk to Japanese people. It also seems Japan's netizen likes their "intranet", the outside world isn't that interesting. Basically....shouldn't have built and maintained global dominance?

Technology has gone too far. Companies are obsessed with making phones as thin as possible but is that really what the consumer wants? I've never heard anybody express that that's next improvement they're lusting for. They're already way too thin making the the experience less satisfying because the feeling in the hand is horrible.(I don't use a case)

One time I had to poop so bad in high school that after I finished, wiped my butt, and stood up my vision just went out. So I just stood there kind of panicked for a while. I think what it actually was was my appendix was fucked, but I didn't realize it at the time. Lots of pain. Great poop though.

>>107552061nvidia shield>>107561093think of it like this. One day you might live next to a congressmen that chinese manufacturer notifies the CCP. They then threaten you to spy on that senator or government official. They've already figured out and hacked your phone and all your devices. Planted pizza on it and are now waiting for you to obey. Good luck trying to explain any of this a judge lol they'll just call you a schizo. There are many scenarios that could play out that you might think is insane but trust me there have been stranger things. Example russian women targeted a 18yr old service member and influenced him to take pictures of top secret information. All done online.
