some middle-end ryzen laptop cpu. no dgpu and I upped the ram to 16 gb. I wouldn't recommend people to go on qubes for nothing because you won't have gpu acceleration at all unless you passthrough a discrete gpu. Also performance in general will be relatively bad because of all of those overhead from the Xen kernel, virtualization, qemu stub domains, context switches, LVM snapshotting etc. an average user would be much better with proper OS-level sandboxing and a hardened kernel.

you could also dualboot but for security you should keep unencrypted bootloader on somewhere else when other OS boots.
