Hy, after the recent news about the demand of AI data centers causing prices of pc components to increase at an absurd rate, I started wondering if we (the average pc user) can do anything about it.

I'm just curious, is there a way we can attack AI's data, so AI will not be a reliable source for any subject you attack, and if so what would it be and how could we employ it.

I'm just getting tired at the affects of AI, while not being able to get a say in any of the things AI and AI data centers are messing up.

A Markov chain that produces functional looking but nonsensical code blocks. You could get an existing language model to produce comments and function names, just make sure to switch them around randomly so they're wrong. Then start pushing into new Github repos. Would probably need a good botnet to simulate activity to look legit; stars, issues, PRs. In theory you can extend this to plaintext; with reddit posts, substack entries, or even released books.

But all of this assumes they still scrape the usual sources for their datasets. If they only use a sanitized pre-2022 dataset, it's useless.
>>
Lie about everything online. Don't post a factual statement ever again.
>>
>>107725866
you're falling victim to propaganda, AI isn't doing anything wrong or causing any of the current issues.

>>
>>107725866
The issue is that these gigacompanies hoard. If we had a higher level of decentralisation we could fight them off.
So I think we need to fight by promoting local AI deployment.

is windows sandbox an absolute guarantee for running sus exectuables such that it wont fuck up my main system? i've been doing 3d scanning but i need quicksurface to clean up the mesh so i pirated a copy off rutracker from a supposedly trusted author however windows flags it as certainly malware (red dialog warning). this piece of software makes 3d modelling so much more easier so can i have my cake and eat it with sandbox?
>>
>>107725540
Yes, a rack is overkill and not useful if you're not doing it as a hobby. I was just explaining to that anon why, when using a rack, you'd buy a 24 port switch just for running a few devices: it's the size enterprise equipment comes in and it's not that expensive at all.
If you care about power efficiency you build a custom server that's tailor made to your requirements using all modern components, and not a used enterprise rack taking up a large closet's worth of space in your room.

any reason to have an X870 board over B850? I mainly game so I feel like its not really worth the extra $80-$100 bucks
>>

Chipset wise, probably not. It's just that b850 boards tend to also cheap out a bit on power delivery.

What is it about big O notation that is so hard to understand for people?
Despite being a fundamental concept in CS, so many CS graduates think they understand what big O means, but when they try to explain it they are completely wrong.
For example pic related, almost every statement in the "explanation" is incorrect.
