I should also say that it's not like RED or OPS enforce any rules related to downsampling either. This is one of the reasons why I archive the high sample rate stuff even though it can be argued it's just bloat. I have it on drives and I make my own dithering jobs/encodes/whatever I need. I just get the best that's available and deal with that myself.

I just put Ubuntu on my new laptop today.Because of the ram shortage I just decided to quickly buy a new high end 14 inch laptop with a AMD Ryzen AI 9 and 32 GB Ram. So I can browse 4chan at lightning speed.
I don't regret switching to MacOS. It has all the capabilities of Linux, but is an actually stable just werks OS.
