I can't understand how some people can fill up their storage without care

Dunno, I always prefer a laptop.
All modern phones use OLED screen anyway. The burn-in and lesser brightness is too noticeable for me to care about the longevity of a phone.

I am a gardaworld federal black ops unarmed security special forces operator and I need a P.P.E.D. (Personal Portable Entertainment Device) in the form of a smartphone. I need it to be IP waterproof or whatever it's called and tough and rugged. The cheaper the better. I was thinking the Honor x9D or the Oppo Pro 6. What are your thots? Oh yes my location, Portugal but I will be on the USA in next month. My company doesn't pay for personal devices.

Is there any way to make a samsung account and link it to a Galaxy Phone without having a phone number? This shit's so retarded, genuinely feels like Xiaomi is less bloated and respects the user more than fucking Samsung. I wish Pixel phones were sold in my country.

I just sold my iPhone 16 pro max, my MacBook m4 pro and my apple watch because of how awful the iPhone is. The phone is so buggy its insane. Alarm clock still fails to work out of nowhere despite being a over 10 year old bug. Keyboard is useless and missing universal back gesture is just awful design. The new iOS 26 ruined dark mode and made it look like a cheap toy, guy who bought my iPhone thought it was fake because he never used iOS 26 in person. Thats how shitty iOS is. But yeah riddled with 10 year old bugs that will get you fired and just bad design choices in general. I am a serious man so I need serious tech which is why I got an S25 ultra that actually fucking works. Its a shame because I liked the apple watch a lot and the macbook as well except Tahoe. Ugly as shit.

Firefox doesn't prefetch web pages iirc. Chrome and others start downloading all the links on a page so when you click them it's already loaded. IMO it's wasteful and invasive but yeah it's fast.

6.12 isn't "old" by any standards. I call 6.12 new and 6.18 extremely new, but that's just me.

Again, 6.17 is dead. idk why exactly but they do these middle versions for some reason and then they drop them.

I'm in my annual "should I make the switch from gpg to age encryption" crisis. Give me some usecases where gpg actually wins out.
>general encryption of e.g. cloud backups
already doable by age
>password manager
pass fork 'passage'
>password manager on android phone
generate QR-code with passage like the age creator does himself,
alternatively just use termux or something
>sign git commits/tags
openssh signing
>yubikey support
age via plugin
>sign emails
I already don't do this

How would I do that?

Doesn't look like a genius, whoever he is.

In Zig, you can have function arguments that are known at compile time. You can also have loops that run at compile time. You can loop OVER TYPES. And it all gets statically type-checked.

>>107670973
In C# + AOT you can implemented unsafe and your own allocators + intrinsics just like zig.
You can also disable GC

Most lithography machines get used for decades.

A chip consists of dozens of layers and you only need the newest and best machines for the first few layers.
So when a better machine comes out the older machines just get pushed down the line.

In an interview an engineer from ASML even said he found it a bit annoying having to build machines that came out two decades ago but sometimes an old machine breaks and the customers wants a 1:1 replacement instead of an upgrade.
>>
>>107668132
Where are you interviewing ASML engineers?

so what happens when they literally cannot hire enough people to make all of these chips? Do they just stop taking orders? Or just keep taking them knowing they can't make them?
