TikTok should have stayed banned.
>>
>>107599466
They couldn't afford to actually ban it. When there's a social network where every other post is "guys, I think these people are the ones who control our politicians" and suddenly those politicians unanimously agree to delete the app, the problem wouldn't go away, the ban would just confirm what everyone was saying.
By seizing the app to spread approved messages while quietly deleting the controversial ones, they can make people slowly forget about what they were talking about a few months ago. They're not stupid, they know exactly what they're doing, they've been doing it for hundreds of years.

Okay. I'm putting the finishing touches on my time travelling media centre. It blows my mind how authentic feels and looks. When I'm in the dark watching and I'm sleepy I felt like Iwoke up from a dream and I'm back in the 90s. My setup is an old Ikegami CRT and for now some modern stereo Edifiers that I intend to replace with some vintage Yamaha HS8s

I set my CRT up with a media streaming device that's outputing RGB. It's working well. But where can I bulk download old TV recordings? Not just old shows. Actual live TV

I actually got myself a big CRT a while back but ai ended up getting rid of it because it was too big and bulky. I also wasn't really using it. It's too bad. I'd love to have actual old Japanese live TV though, that would be swell.

There is a definite bug with Chrome and certain "extensions" that cause it to always return with a "mistyped Captcha" error. The issue can obviously be averted by simply using a different browser but the issue remains, and it is up to the devs to fix it.

Deadline: 7th of January [revised from late December]

>/g/ makes a 19th album
Theme: [Accepting suggestions]

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

https://voca.ro/1kAlJJ1v09bf

hello friends, new to /dmp/ but also new to music creation/production in general. I'm working on a project for this silly video for my nephew and I do some shitty rap lyrics on top of it, but its to the beat of Aqua Teen Hunger Force intro so I want to make my voice sound kind of like the actual theme with the effects.

I wanted to ask if someone can tell me how to add the tech filter (?) or whatever it is towards the beginning of the song where it goes "you wanna trip, I'll bring it to yaaaaaa" right before the Frylock part, and also how to make it kind of go higher pitch in the middle of a word without having to rerecord that part. I got all the lyrics put together so adding filters would be the finishing touch.

I know I'm probably fucking this all the way up, but I'm doing all of this in VSDC video editing program so if I need a different software I'll do what I need to.

I spent so long in erlang development that I forgot this could be an issue.

>God damn, I didn't realise how much I hate it when languages don't have proper lexical scope and variable shadowing
Today I remembered once again that in C you can't do:
struct type *x = something();
if (...) {
struct type2 *x = (struct type2 *) x;
}

Because in C, x on the RHS refers to the x on the LHS, no the x in the outter scope.
This fucking sucks, you can do this in languages with non-retarded name resolution rules.
