>>108510879Being a scapelike is the core of it. From there the idea is a multiplayer engine that is customized to whatever makes sense, or maybe is a current trend. Farming sim, habbo hotel, vampire survivors, zombie horde, puzzleslop, battle monsters, etc. Without having to make a "new game" each time.
Tutorial writers should be shot. Honestly I don't know what's wrong with these fuckers and their insistence on presenting isolated code snippets without the rest of the code so you can figure out where the hell it goes. And of course the fucker changed some of the code around we had already covered without explicitly saying so, which is why I couldn't figure out what the hell was happening. Had this problem with two different API's. I think the only way forward is working examples. You just can't depend on tutorials.
>>108511338That's why my tutorials just explain each concept one by one and then gives you the whole source code with more comments.

>>108508933Used kdenlive a bit some 4 years ago, it works. It's buggy but it works, altough I heard that many bugs got cleaned up. Wouldn't use it at all for big proyects though, would instead use DaVinci as >>108510941 said.>>108510447If it was entirely FSF's responsibility to handle GNU/Linux we'd be in the shitter. They prioritize philosophy way too much and it's a bit of a common pattern that most of their software struggles a lot with accesibility to normies (which only recently it started being ironed out). This would make it so the userbase would be drastically smaller. And let's not talk about the fact that the kernel being great nowdays is in great part a result of Linus being massively demanding on performance, on broad strokes the man is all about function over form and he has criticised the FSF (or maybe GNU, don't quite remember it) a lot. If he was cockblocked by the FSF 24/7 he would've bailed after no more than a single year.Or in other words, just leave them handle the soft-science, the legal and the financial aspect of the open source movement. They are far better at that.>>108510486We have a choice on which chains to wear on this side of town, anon.
>>108508933I don't have any major need for a video editor so take my advice with a grain of salt, but I have heard a lot people actually like the Blender video editor, funnily enough. It works with normal video. Doesn't have to be related to the 3D part of the software.
>>108511171>most of their software struggles a lot with accesibility to normies (which only recently it started being ironed out).>This would make it so the userbase would be drastically smaller. Is a bigger userbase worth it when everything is getting enshittified at the same time? ID verification, political purges and discrimination, bloat, embrace/extend/extinguish or centralization, etc.
>>108511171>>108511349I got reminded of this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S8s9uzPIqQ4
>>108511349Frankly I don't know. In my eyes the reason that FOSS software is great it's because of it's community, and the main defining attribute of it is (among other things) that it cares. If you ever seen a sperg around /g/ saying that "the moment we get the 'year of the linux desktop' it will oficially be over'" then you probably saw me.In my eyes, companies fold and bend over for their userbase when there is a financial incentive of doing so, thus, any company that pisses off it's userbase enough will find itself (Eventually) bankrupt. It's not an anomaly that Windows is shit nowdays, it's the direct result of an userbase that legitimately has no fucking interest on what's going on under the hood of their OS. That is "the average user", personally I don't want them to come over to this side, not only because they are a pain in the ass but also because the suits that found ways of nefariously making money through them will stalk them, eventually swooping inside.

>>108508515Oh, there are some actual dates now, 26 April for Sora itself, 24 September for API (I guess they might have some contractual obligations with several providers for API?). They didn't even bother posting any update on the Sora's Xitter profile, never mind Altman not saying a word about it so far. The lack of communication is understandable, but still amusing.>>108509751That was 4o/Image-1, it's still available on BIC. >>108511346Is it any good? Something tells me it's riddled with exploitable bugs, because nobody really uses it in any front-facing way when it matters.I mean, it is facing the user himself in gaymes and such. But that's obviously not a scenario when it matters. Nobody cares about it and anything sensitive would be at backend etc.

What are some dead programming languages and frameworks? This piece of shit is rightfully mocked on hacker news and reddit. I don’t understand how anybody could ever tolerate a dynamically typed language. Static types are necessary for a language being a useful engineering tool and not some entry level, poorly scaling baby crayons.

>>108508636incell is dogshit, they try to retrofit worse displays on phones. don't do it. just buy oled from a reputable vendor and it will be good enough, just did this for my S20 FE, a Sunlong one. first one came with a small failure, but I could quickly get it swapped at the provider I got it from and now I'm mostly happy.you gotta realize you're not gonna get anything perfectly the same as your old screen, that's just not possible unless you get an official replacement, but then you might as well pay for a brand new phone.my suggestion? buy the screen from a local source, even if it's more expensive, it's gonna have warranty assuming you follow all the common phone technician tips to not screw things up such as the glue for the battery, which usually voids ur warranty.
