It's probably a political statement.
It is in favour of left wing control mechanisms and prioritisation of feelings.

The left has been trying to declare everybody mentally ill a lot.
Then they suggest brain washing and meds (often amphetamine like, for kids).
Basically you open yourself up to the government and establishment, then they medicate you and brainwash you to make you into a good citizen.

Why do people say EE is any better then CS when it comes to threat from automation? Automated circuit design(which is already done to an extent) is going to be super-charged next.

LLMs aren't even useful for analyzing schematics on the basis of netlists yet. I tried a minimal circuit with some deliberate errors and got good results but as soon as the circuit contains a couple of components it completely shits the bed - being less useful than a completely green EE.
Turns out designing hardware requires more than looking up shit. The false positives were really funny - showing that LLMs are completely useless in domains that are not 100% text-based and that requires the consideration of things that are trivial for even average engineers like geometry or the limitation of manufacturing methods.
There's a reason why even layout is mostly done by hand for anything practical that has to pass EMC testing on the first run.

Tried one in the store before, but it's too tall when opened, and I'm still iffy about the fragile folding screen. I'd be willing to give it a shot if they just make the thing the normal s26's height when opened at least.
>>
>>108522469
Yeah, I was surprised to find out the S26 was actually smaller than it. I contemplated getting the shittiest version of the S26 just because of its size but the folding thing is just too qlz. The folding screen does seem like a ticking time bomb but I'm tired of giant slabs for phones. When I go to the gym I can at least keep this phone in my pocket and it's not too distracting.

Why is it that a Codex xhigh reviewer almost always finds a bunch of stuff, but the same Codex model can not implement it correctly in the first place? Sometimes I loop for hours trying to pass Codex' code review.
And it's somehow even worse for docs, Codex basically always says our docs are shit.

Llms are not deterministic + They just want to make you happy.
So if you keep asking them to find problems in a thing, the way to make you happy is to find a problem, not tell you there isn't one.
Claude is the best about this, but right now, you need to know when you're done.

200k tokens in 30 minutes is 111 tokens/sec. That's pretty fantastic speed. You're unlikely to get that kind of speed out of any of the large models.
>>108516412
>>Opus 4.6 is roughly the same size as Kimi 2.5
>Source?
There's no source, but if you know what the top end hardware is then you'd know that they can't really have models that are more than 2-3x the (file)size of Kimi K2.5.

Nvidia and AMD both sell B300-s and Mi355x-s in 8x systems. That's about 2.1-2.3 TB of VRAM. To have models larger than 3x of Kimi (or GLM 5 size) you would need to connect multiple of these systems together for inference.

Even if you do that, memory bandwidth of individual chips sets limits to how big the active parameter count of a model can be. A B300 is 2x 4.1 TB/s. I'm unsure whether they can use 8TB/s for inference, but let's assume they do. GLM5 at full 16-bit precision has an active parameter count of 40B meaning that each token takes 80 GB. That would only allow 100 tokens/s as top end theoretical speed per GPU. Realistically the "2x 4.1 TB/s" means it's less than that.

If anybody wanted to make a model larger than this they would either need custom hardware or they would make a very large model with a small active parameter count compared to total parameters.

Google's Gemini was one of the last to market AIs, because Google is well aware that LLMs cannibalize their advertising business model.
It was the investors that pressured them into doing AI.
Google will be one of the first to exit once the hype dies and investors stop being retarded.

IKEA sells one, but it's very bad. Mine started leaking after about 6 months. It also isn't programmed correctly, sometimes it works for 5 seconds after waving the hand once, other times it squirts for half a second multiple times despite hands actively moving under the water stream.
It also isn't thermostatic so you have to fiddle with the tiny handle constantly.

According to the fine folks over at Orange Reddit, the US is at full employment so those laid off will quickly find new jobs because employers are desperate to hire people. Also since there aren't enough workers, it is necessary to bring in more from the third world.
