It honestly seems like a partial downgrade from how it was before the update. Also the spot fix where you can highlight sometimes works and sometimes it totally redoes the rest of the image with a tendency to adjust the lighting/lens focus to the area you highlighted which is usually not the intention...It's not outright terrible and the detail is definitely way, way better than the previous version.

But if it ever looks like Linux is an actual threat to Windows then Microsoft can just reduce or remove the Windows fees for OEM's. That's probably why they're so aggressively moving towards a model where they make most of their OS money from spying on their users. If it came right down to it they could completely reverse the relationship and pay OEM's to offer Windows exclusively. Maybe with locked down hardware.
