Something I have expected to have been used all the time in the most optimal way. Isn't exactly a new or niche distro. It's not like I'm complaining, it's just unusual. I've seen small negative numbers on sysupgrade and that made sense right away.
>>
Decided to make a partition for at least a few repositories. They are forks that diverged at some point so I want to try a file system with compression. From what I see online BTRFS (using it currently) lacks some of the fancier compression algorithm support so should I go with ZFS or what?
>>
>>107588531
Actually should have read the mkfs.btrfs man page first, turns out they support zstd now.

>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.

>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

Of course it's totally responsible to want to know wtf happened in a case like this. A sane person wouldn't have done all of this in the first place. But lets assume something happened that required doing such a thing. In that case a sane person would have;
>Calmly explained the reason for the sudden changes
>Provided proof that no code had been modified
>Provided a way to verify they were the same person as the person that was running the other repo
>If they planned to drop the project they would have reached out to others that had contributed and offered them control over the repo before doing any of this (or as soon as possible if that wasn't something they could do)
>Would have encouraged someone to fork it from the last repo if they were not convinced and/or at least encouraged someone to continue working on this new repo and given them ownership

Instead we got....a sperg out.

I really really don't understand this modern batch of "FOSS lovers". When I was very active and releasing a lot of code from the mid-90s through the mid-2000s and still on the GPL kool-aid I would have never thought of doing something like that. I wanted my code to be used and I was happy for anyone to use it, contribute to it and didn't give any fucks if they forked it. Didn't matter if they called me mean names or not. I was just overjoyed that I had created something that hopefully improved the world and helped other people in some way. I didn't care what you used it for either. I didn't care about your race/religion/creed/whatever. As long as you weren't anti-free speech and free-use of software I didn't care. Most everything I created is now in the public domain. But if you want to place it under some other license I could give a shit about that too.

It's stupid. The drama we had was different back then. It was all just annoying licensing drama and autism fights about the best way to code something (and rarely what to code it in).
