Why is FOSS full of special needs people with personality disorders? what causes it?

Zakaj je med razvijalci proste programske opreme toliko vaških posebnežev z mentalnimi motnjami? Kaj povzroča to?

I don't really get how people are salty over comments on the internet, a minimal amount of resistance to mean language makes a person but the solution isn't to cease developement, the solution is to always ignore users and point to the documentation, it's that simple.
Just remind yourself that you're in charge of your own time and deal it accordingly.
>>
>>107721789
FOSS specifically, by design, removes A) money and B) responsibility from the equation.
When you think about it, it's amazing it doesn't attract MORE talentless, sociopathic losers.

please. I could go for COVID-26.

2026

- Search engine collapse: no one will use web search because it's udderly useless. The cows will moove to GPT directly and Google will limit results to 1 page since nobody ever scrolls past the AI summary.

- YouTube collapse: AI slop will overwhelm YouTube to the point that people will grow tired of it. Big channels won't understand why viewership is dropping and will churn out more crap to compete and exacerbate the problem. YouTube will close its doors to amateurs and will bifurcate into YouTubeTV a selection of studio backed creators verified and controlled, and YouTubeSlop a wasteland of jeetfarmed garbage uploaded hourly.

- Chinese Amazon: China will double down on the US market with more direct sales. Amazon will partner with Temu etc to cut out the dropshipping middlemen. Everything on Amazon's search page will still be no name chinkshit but prices will be lower. Hooray! Consumers won't think twice about buying a TOOBUTT tv because it costs $65. You'll see them take over: washing machines, refrigerators, cars, all the traditionally more expensive holdouts will be overwhelmed with chinkshit options. Tech especially, the Chinese GPU is coming and at these prices so will you.
>>
Nothing changes fundumentally, hardware prices will stay elevated (for most of the year at least) and this whole site will continue to be an asylum for mentally ill miserable luddites who will never move on from 2010.

>"Smart" glasses will continue to be pushed, but will see very little adoption
>Tech companies will begin to develop a different wearable device, in hopes of having some kind of always-on camera capturing everyones POV, but it will be an even dumber idea than the glasses
>Phones will get thinner and lighter with smaller batteries, and performance will get worse due to the ever sinking quality of software, and stagnation in hardware specs (RAM shortage etc.)
>A push will begin to mandate all mirrors in vehicles, both rearview and sideview, be replaced by cameras
>More normies will begin to adopt Linux, which will lead to many Linux distros beginning to cater to the tech illiterate
>The area with the most revolutionary progress will be sex robots, further contributing to the plummeting birth rates in western countries
>Authentication based on government issued ID will become more widespread. 2027 model luxury cars will use biometrics to unlock and start, and will not come with a key

Picked this up during black Friday for 549 bucks and after a shipping delay its gonna arrive sometime this week. For vidya and uni work it the specs seem completely fine but the only problem is that there is only one memory slot and its only 512gb but the ram is ddr5 5600 which is great for the price of it. Did i get a good deal? And also are there any problems with it I should address especially with it being a new gaming laptop.

Never really got into AO. Around that time I played Age of Camelot, Lineage, even original RS, also a bit of EverQuest and Ultima Online with a friend from school.
It's quite a mush to try remembering so far back, I'm not even that old though, but it was way before WoW and I started in 2000 when we got ADSL at home. Only had dial-up before that and I was never really into MUDs or text based MMOs, except a few browser ones.

Security and privacy aren't the same thing. Google usually follows best security practices, but has atrocious privacy. F-Droid is the other way around.

Thanks for the reply. Do you need to install pkgsrc on a fresh NetBSD installation or does it come pre-configured? How do their two FFS implementations differ, what makes NetBSD better in your view?
