https://resources.github.com/actions/2026-pricing-changes-for-github-actions/Selfhosted GitHub Actions will become paywalled in 3 months.Your CI/CD pipeline that runs on your own selfhosted hardware will become a paid feature thanks to M$.Now anons, will you switch to Forgejo Actions? Will you selfhost your own git forge?

>>107575641>>107576505>>107579328We will switch to Forgejo and Forgejo Actions in January.>>107578786The point of this thread was that a previously free feature will go paid, this is not a new feature, we are using selfhosted runners right now.>>107579336I've personally looked into this and will probably opt for Go-Away: https://git.gammaspectra.live/git/go-awayIt has templates ready for Forgejo usage.
Nothing they offer isn't something that's produceable locally or with a cron job. The "github actions" are just using the built in hooks feature of git anyway. Corpos will pay for it anyway because majority of their devs probably think this shit is magic and needs "the cloud" to function. Any component team could replace it in less than a day if needed for cost cutting.
>>107576195You do not need to give your credit card for private repos, they are free.>>107579463CI/CD is already running on our machines (our company servers) with selfhosted runners, they will require us to pay for executing builds on our own servers. We didn't use their cloud runners because they costs money and the setup was the exact same.

>>107579301Nah the problem is the platforms, you have the OS, they you choose the language, then the frameworks, then etc. and blah blah... it's shit. All this stuff together takes up most of the computer's capabilities and always has, it's how they get away with selling us, by comparison, virtual supercomputers which are basically no faster to use than the ones we had thirty years ago.Back when going from like 33 to 40 MHz was a three year leap? There was optimization. Now you just hope the compiler can auto-vectorize and loop-unroll it all. Modern computers are no fun. Nobody likes coding with AI, or frameworks that always change, or anything like that. It's just sucked the joy and fun out of computers. Zoomers can sense it, they have this desire to use old technology. It's almost cargo cultism. They know just instinctually that times were better.
>>107579358>Back when going from like 33 to 40 MHz was a three year leap?Niggy, we went from 66MHz to 1GHz on the same ISA in 6 years, not to mention all the SIMD instructions that got bolted on turning the same period.
>>107579384>66MHz to 1GHz on the same ISA in 6 yearsNo we didn't stop falling for lies. We double pumped the clock, the cache went on-die and got really fast, but the base PCI bus stayed slower but they eventually double pumped that but RAM and disk are still slow.IF you can pack everything you are doing into the chip it's fast as fuck, hit ram it's like still "fast but '90s" speed. Also the bus is no longer a lockstep beautiful thing where you can do small things in order, you have to send packets down it and etc. what a mess. Ever look into even trying to program something with a PCI bus interface? It's stupidly dumb to even try really. It's the same basic thing that happened to software. Harware's overly complicated.
>>107579418>No we didn't stop falling for lies. What are you talking about, I literally had a 66MHz P1 that came out in 1993, in 1996. First 1GHz Athlon came out in 1999 already, had a Coppermine myself that was 733MHz in 2001, even though there was a 1GHz SKU.

>>107579468showered on monday. deodorant has 48 h protection.
Stop using deodorant. It's unironically toxic.Just shower/bath and you'll be okay. The first few weeks are going to be weird, but after that the skin is going to be much healthier and it's going to gain back it's natural pleasant smell.
havent used deodorant or showered in weekscomfy alcoholic hikineet life
The most schizo way to fix your skin is this:>in the middle of the summer>don't shower/bath at all>stay in the sun continuously>drink LOTS of mineral water, some additional salt is better>avoid eating anything containing seed oils and sugar>heat up from the sun and sweat a lotThat's it, you don't need let any other water touch you at all. Don't shower, don't bath. The first few days you'll smell bad.The salts in the water you just drank get out of your body through your skin and they create a salty environment on the surface.Salt kills everything, every bacteria, fungi, microbe, etc.The bad smell in the first few days is from the dying bacteria. After 2 weeks of doing this daily, your skin won't smell bad at all and it's going to feel as clean as you just showered, your skin is going to be even cleaner than you would ever be from a shower/bath and it's going to regain it's natural smell.A member of the opposite sex can barely hold himself/herself from licking your body to enjoy the nice smell and taste your skin is going to have after that.
i shower everyday nowin hs i would sometimes go 2 weeks without

The keyboard is fused to the palm rest but imo, Lenovo has the best laptop keyboards out there. Cooling is great, and the hinge is nice. Cons are that there is not 2,5" or any other traditional SATA option for sotage which would have been nice, a lot of backlight bleed on the display, and after one year the battery in mine just decided to try, but Lenovo's warranty is pretty great and they came to my house to swap it out no questions asked.
