What was the greatest graphics card ever? I'm thinking it was the 9800gtx. Having this in '08 was like unlocking every game in existence.
>>107598094>look up that one Youtube vid of a guy's reaction to getting a 1080 again for my own curiosity> hitting not quite 120fps in Overwatch was mind-blowing in 2016man, it was a simpler time...
8800GTX was probably the most bang for the buck GPU in PC history, it lasted easily like 10 years
>>107616842True, pretty much anything that performed as strong or better than a PS3 or XBOX 360 stayed relevant for so long, because the 7th gen of consoles really overstayed their welcome to the point where by the time the PS4 came out, most PC gamers had a stronger PC, and then when the 750Ti came out, pretty much all PC gamers had as strong a GPU as a PS4 because they were such weak consoles.

>>107617423>They're barely any betterRTX 6000 Blackwell is almost twice as fast as a RTX 4090...

Looking for a basic lua extension for mpv that displays selected OSC details upon keypress.Say ctrl+t displays the video title and only that.
is it actually possible to see the difference? or is it just contrarians?
>>107592470MPV is the superior video player. /thread
Contrarians. Both are good, use either.
MPV on it's own is unusable since last time I checked it forces on screen controls onto you. At least not without going full tranny with a bunch of configs and shit. Using it with wrappers is pretty nice however. Haruna is probably the best media player I've used so far, other than maybe good old MPC. Haven't used VLC properly in like 6 years but i remember switching because it was shit at handing some file types.
>>107616095>>107616095you just click and press the arrowsadditionally, you can press F to maximize / restore down (smaller window) and space to play / pauseare you that filtered by mpv?
there's mpv.net with its gui which you can access with right click, and you can populate your config file through lots of clicking

>>107606648I've been working on a simple OCR-Programm to make an easy use for Kraken OCR which is specialized in cursiv/fraktur/kurrent/sütterlin writing and handwritingbut it was a bitch to get it to run properly...kraken surely doesn't natively want to be run in a programm...
The moment you realise you need an intervention is when you install 3 separate containers on your server to OCR a single page of a webcomic, then uninstall all 3 afterwards because while 90% of what you did was successful, you forgot to check and see if the data you got out was going to be easy to export. In a years time, I will no doubt configure them again, installing another 4 containers on top, just to automate the export process.

>>107617863Nginx supports CGI scripts too although CGI is kinda shitty. I prefer to just write PHP scripts if I need anything like that. I do use CGI scripts for one use case though, writing webhooks where I want to automate some task by sending some POST data to it (useful for things like archive scripts as you say)
>>107617787If that "old laptop" is 64bit then it isn't as old as my 32bit laptop. You said it could run those games, so it's somewhat powerful and not that old.Have each torrent at a share ratio of at least 15.01 (addition to what I said in >>107617863). Otherwise run whatever services/stuff you want and learn about. Could probably run low-level AI like you were saying. I wonder if I could locally run AI in my "ancient" 32bit computer running Slax Linux. Kinda curious but not really... If it did run then it would be very dumb.
