What happened to chatgpt? The only useful usecase I found for it was venting to get psychologycal support. I hadn't used it in the last few months but now it's dumb as fuck, it sounds exactly like Cleverbot. Is OpenAI gutting it for liability like when it stopped mentioning loli, or is it part of the life cycle of ML shit?

I seriously can't believe the world's economy depends on something as unreliable as this.

I use 5.2 pro extended for work quite a bit. breddy gud for consolidating information from a variety of sources and giving me something to work off of. it's like a junior engineer that never sleeps but 50x cheaper.

LLMs are just a better search engine. Much better. Like an interactive encyclopedia that can read into the nuance of your prompts. That is literally their only usecase, but it is a very good one.

They get more training info, and more info to target you with ads.
Also some of us weren't raised in a world where our data was a fucking commodity, and correctly identify that protecting it is important in a day and age where it is.

READ THE (temp)WIKI! & help by contributing:
https://igwiki.lyci.de/wiki/Home_server

/hsg/ is about learning and expanding your horizons. Know all about NAS? Learn virtualization. Spun up some VMs? Learn about networking by standing up a OPNsense/PFsense box and configuring some VLANs. There's always more to learn and chances to grow. Think you’re god-tier already? Setup OpenStack and report back.

>What software should I run?
Install Gentoo. Or whatever flavor of *nix is best for the job or most comfy for you. Jellyfin/Emby/Plex to replace Netflix, Nextcloud to replace Googlel, Ampache/Navidrome to replace Spotify, the list goes on. Look at the awesome self-hosted list and ask.

>Why should I have a home server?
De-botnet your life. Learn something new. Serving applications to yourself, your family, and your frens feels good. Put your tech skills to good use for yourself and those close to you. Store their data with proper availability redundancy and backups and serve it back to them with a /comfy/ easy to use interface.

Yes, the files are untouched and thus have p2p typical naming with codec, source, etc.
As do *.FLAC and *.MP3 though, this is what trips me off
.>>107723863
Mhh, this sounds like a possible solution especially since I wanted to set up sonarr anyway.
But usually I like to only have one construction site open and having to be dependent on another program, sux.
>>
>>107723770
>Otherwise I just go back watching via NAS share
Just keep doing that if that's an option. Jellyfin is only really worth it if watching from regular shares is impossible or impractical or you need transcode or account control or whatever.

Sadly it was a better card at launch, who cares how it holds up 6 years later. People only look at reviews either day one or when they buy it. Most people don't even do that much, just how much Nvidia can I afford?

>anon. whatever you do, do NOT get in a fender bender in your tesla, or even get a window broken. your insurance will just total the vehicle.
This is true of all electric vehicles. The proprietary batteries can't be replaced, and after an accident the battery is considered compromised, so the entire vehicle is considered totaled. People looking to resell their old electric cars are finding out no one will buy them because of this.

I have a kindle paperwhite, latest version with standard firmware. I'm okay with it other than it having a popup I have to close every time I look at my library. I guess it would go away if logged it to the internet once, but I'm not doing that or going to custom firmware to save .1 second when I switch books.
