Will this kill Windows and make Linux the most popular OS?
>>107835709Really hoping so because Affinity currently only works well over WINE on nvidia which is what goes against everyone's choice on linux.
>>107830342god i hope so
>>107831680it's not like something is take away from you, if someone would game on linux, rightcuck
>>107830342the vast majority of windows users doing use their PC for gaming, so no it will not kill windows, in fact it wont even leave a scratch on widows
>>107835839>rollback after an updateThat is some voodoo magic that almost nobody understands because, believe it or not, most people aren't system administrators and can barely handle a Windows machine let alone a rollback. When an average user is confronted with this issue they only have 3 options:1. Pay someone to repair the PC.2. Sell it on eBay flagged as "broken". Then buy a Windows machine or a MacBook.3. Throw away the PC. Then buy a Windows machine or a MacBook.
Hytale uses QUIC for multiplayer. What do you think about it? Is this the first reasonably popular game that implements multiplayer over QUIC instead of using TCP or their own custom protocol on top of UDP?
>>107835228wow uses TCP for all network communicationexcept voice chat, which no one uses, that's over UDP for some reason
>>107835228Minecraft Java Edition literally uses TCP for everything, what do you mean? It's pretty well known, but here's written proof of it: https://minecraft.wiki/w/Java_Edition_protocol/Packets#DefinitionsThe only thing Java Edition uses UDP for is the "Open to LAN" feature
>>107833081minecraft is a real game you retard.rope yourself NOW
>>107831502I think it's neat, but my primary interest is in WebTransport which implements "bidirectional, multiplexed, and unreliable/ordered delivery" over it. Sadly that's still in development hell. Quic by itself, all I can say is it's cool how they improved aspects of it beyond TCP and the backing from Goog makes it play nice, but mandatory encryption is mixed blessing. Sure, it guarantees integrity of packets (the major value add in gaming), but packet tampering for videogames doesn't really impact most players, and you pay a huge cost for encryption in return. As with most things, it ultimately depends on the game and the engineering tradeoffs you want to make.
>>107831844Mullvad recommends QUIC. How true is what you're saying?
Hey what's the best way to deal with a scammer who took over someone's discord account? Long story short I had a really close friend on discord only (rookie mistake but I didn't want to push then for anything personal =3) And some scammers took over the account and are demanding 200 dollars . . . They first tried to scam me by pretending to be her to get me to give them money but it was obviously not the person so now their trying to scam me to maybe get info on contacting my friend :( It makes me really sad and I was wondering if any of you fine folk might know what to do . . . Im not sure what the proper way to figure this out is frens. . . >And I doubt they actually have the info; I feel like their just lying to try and scam more money as they tried a scam earlier Any nice hacker folks who hate scammers about and might know a trick or two that could be pulled =3This person was really a special person and I'd genuienly be a much sadder person if I never got to talk to them again.Like I reported them to discord and nothing happened so idk what to do frens . . . How come C# isn't more popular when it's basically Java but better? Is it because people distrust a language maintained by Microsoft, or does the JVM have non-obvious but crucial advantages over the CLR?
>>107835082I don't care about /g/'s obsession with "bloat".it's "bloated" because it has a gorillion features.if you don't need them, fine, but I have no performance issues on my crappy laptop, so I'd rather have them.>>107835222of course the binaries are relatively large because they need to incorporate the runtime.if 50 MB or whatever the size is, is too much for you, then it doesn't fit your use case.most people using those languages don't need compilation to native.

Can someone explain to me why do normal faggots cry about RAM prices when they waste money on flagship phones that cost $1k+ every 2 years? I support the price hikes, because I support suffering of normal faggots, simple as.
>>107834091Using "faggots" just makes you sound unhinged. Phone upgrades are discretionary; RAM is a core, recurring PC component cost. Your "support" for price hikes is just admitting you enjoy others' frustration, which is pathetic.
Because it makes everything cost more you illiterate retard. It's not just consumer ram, it's multiple electronics that use memory.

This simple idea of having 2 USB-C ports CANNOT be done because it stops the zoomer from buying wireless ear buds(battery inside will always go to shit and unusable in ~3 years)and you would be stuck using extremely affordable, high quality audio headphones or in ear buds(that are a bit too green for the planet in 2026) also the 3.5mm headphone jack looks like a penis that goes inside a hole and basically why aren't you a wireless, constantly charging gay trans in 2026 right now.am i finally getting it /g?
>>107834610I'm supposed to carry headphones around 24/7? That sounds far more socially inept than having earbuds in your pocket. Probably why everyone does the latter.
>>107834775Depends what you're doing.I just leave them at my desk.
>>107835071If I'm outside I'm at work, at the store, at an appointment, or enjoying the outdoors. In all of those cases I would want earbuds attached to my keyring. I'm going to guess most people are the same way.The only time I brought my wireless over the ear headphones outside my house was when I lost one of my earbuds, and had to wait a few days for their replacements.

>>107835098No, as others have said. If you have the autism and patience for it, start with your own engine. For the love of God don't get memed into reading C&R C book or any books at all at the start, just pick a language (Odin is probably a good start) and try to get things done in steps (e.g. create a window, then draw a triangle, so on so forth) by looking up how each one is done (this is even easier nowadays since AI will give you the answer in 10 seconds whereas you used to have to google for it which was at least 10 times slower). If not, pick up Unity (easier) or Unreal (harder, but C++ will teach you somewhat real programming) and basically do the same: set a small goal, achieve it looking up the steps as they come, rinse repeat.
>>107835486>start with your own enginedont do this as a beginner
