Is BitLocker good? The Windows default password can be easily bypassed, but I keep hearing people talk about BitLocker.
>>
Good enough
>>
>>107746852
It's fairly good as a solution you don't need to use a password for since it relies on the TPM chip. A LUKS encrypted drive that requires a password to access might arguably be better

I'm sure people are going to chime in on backdoors and whatnot. I won't since I've taken my medication today

GPG can no longer be trusted.
What to use now?

Can somebody calmly explain why not? I'm not watching some gay video.
>>
>>107746674
You need to use our totally legit encryption made in our amazing new memory safe language anon. Only available on our latest backdoor'd CPU that bundles in TPM. Passwords are also no longer secure. You'll need to hand over a copy of your DNA that we promise to store securely in our new tax payer funded data centers. Then you'll be able to log-in using your phone to verify the contents of your digital bank account.

We'd show you proof but it's a matter of national security. You understand.

Don't forget to smile for the flock cameras.

If you think RED only has "generic or new media" then you have incredibly shallow tastes.
>>

i already use soulseek for music, theres just few things on my wishlist i couldnt find anywhere and i very doubt that ill find them on any private tracker. You are out of your mind if you think that not sourcing from you trackers equals shallow taste, there are people solely on apple music with better taste then you.

Excluding playing video games on them WTF where computers in the 70s and 80s used for?

Like serious question.

The capacity of them was laughable the 8-inch Floppy disk is ~242KB

>Diskettes formatted for this system stored 242,944 bytes

1 Wikipedia article page saved as ASCII text takes up 25KB at the lowest.

So 10 pages would fill that one up of pure ASCII text.

You can not store books on them.

Is there any software or tool that can help dealing with it?

>>
>>107740144
You need to figure out why you want to browse 4chan in the first place. Is it intense boredom? Insecurity about your performance in college? You need to be aware of your triggers. This way, when you notice a trigger, you can be mindful. Tell yourself "I want to browse 4chan and create bait threads for attention". And just do nothing and sit with the feeling. Perhaps find another thing to do instead. Pick up a book, stare out the window, doomscroll instagram (like normal person) or something else (and preferably non-screen).

For productivity, really commit and do things like >>107740213 said.

Good luck. I know the feeling and it's an ongoing struggle for me. But every week I get a little closer to doing the things I actually want to do.
>>

Take 10,000 iu of vitamin d3 every day, once i started doing that i dropped all my hobbies, it increases dopamine in your brain which makes you less distracted.
>>
>>107740144
You aren't addicted to the internet, you're addicted to not studying for your exam. This has interesting implications, one of which is that if the internet somehow disappeared, it wouldn't help you at all, as you would switch to something else and avoid studying all the same. But I would say the important implication is that when you understand this addiction, you can treat it. Stop trying to "get off the internet" and instead start "trying to study for your exam". The former doesn't work because you get bored, and when you're bored you go on the internet. The latter is very easy when you think it through. Just open your books and start reading/doing problems/etc.When you find yourself with your phone in hand later, don't blame yourself for being addicted to it. Just set down your phone, ideally somewhere out of reach, then pick up the book again.

There are better, non-pozzed, ways, but that's what I know works for me.
And being honest you are probably in a position where
>get discipline
is easier said than done.
You need to cut the constant stimuli so you feel bored, once you spend a while bored you will naturally start studying.
