I'm personally undecided on whether or not I think a native UI would be better, but after building Ladybird a few weeks ago, I did notice that a significant portion of the settings menus seemed to already be web-based. If this is true then it seems pretty inconsistent.

There's probably good guides or forums but the general internet algorithm just doesn't connect dots well anymore between written text and usefulness or variety of material that comes up. Youtube outclasses specifics somehow. And earlier I was thinking that the algorithm or someone had dropped some of my favorite content.

what's the bet this is where steam deck is getting its memory from

https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/ddr4/samsung-to-delay-its-planned-ddr4-end-of-life-due-to-signing-a-long-term-non-cancellable-non-returnable-contract-with-key-customer-agreement-will-not-alleviate-consumer-shortage-supply-earmarked-for-server-clients

couple of points i'd like to make as well
1. nani the shitting dicknipples is up with this fucking catchpa
2. if the field is too long, why the fuck do you let it be entered in the first place nigger

this is the kind of lazy assed fucking admin that saw this place get its shit hacked by some faggot obsessed with posting exactly one kind of meme.

thank you for your attention to this matter.
>>
>>107660519
anon... did you try reading the article?

>agreement will not alleviate consumer shortage, supply earmarked for server clients
>Sources say the NCNR's price is expected to exceed $20 per 16GB DDR4 module, but Samsung is still evaluating the market and may increase it further. Still, this is only a third of prevailing spot market prices for short-term contracts. Unfortunately, the client said to be gunning for the NCNR contract mainly focuses on server applications, and no consumer-facing company has signaled its intent to secure a long-term contract for DDR4 chips. This means that end-users should not expect any relief from the ongoing memory shortage.
it says right there in the article that this is for SERVERS.
>>
>>107660683
>the client said to be gunning for the NCNR contract
>said to be
yes anon, i did read the article. 'said to be' means the same as 'rumoured'.

but anon, valve's core business, would you believe...concentrates on servers. or do you think it's bunch of guys with desktops making games, and not a global tech infrastructure company.
>>
>>107660788
>concentrates on servers. or do you think it's bunch of guys with desktops making games, and not a global tech infrastructure company.
sure, but that's not what you said in the OP:
>what's the bet this is where steam deck is getting its memory from
either that or my ESL ass completely misunderstood what you said. but I clearly see "STEAM DECK" there, and nothing related to servers.
>>
>>107660847
fucking hell. here's how reality works.
1. steam deck is a product to be made by valve
2. the client is said to concetrate on servers
3. as a company, valve, because of steam, concentrates on servers. their core business is server-based infrastructure.

can you work out the next step for yourself or do i have to hold your fucking hand some more.

Python, one of the very few modern & popular programming languages not owned by big tech, is now begging hard for money at python.org (picrel), Wikipedia style.

This comes after the PSF rejected an US government grant because the PSF can't stop shilling for DEI: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/10/28/211237/python-foundation-rejects-government-grant-over-dei-restrictions
The same PSF then reported a surge of new donators following the above rejection: https://developers.slashdot.org/story/25/11/09/2017240/python-foundation-donations-surge-after-rejecting-grant---but-sponsorships-still-needed
Yet, they are now begging for money, using a big, intrusive and cringe banner at python.org, kek.

This is what your donated money is used for: https://www.python.org/psf/grants
>Conferences (e.g. PyCon Italia)
>Event site subscriptions (Meetup.com) (e.g. London Django Meetup)
>Django Girls Workshops (e.g. Django Girls Busan Workshop)
>PyLadies Workshops (e.g. All Day PyLadies Workshop)

These faggots have a whole page dedicated to their DEI philosophy: https://www.python.org/community/diversity
Their Libera Chat #python IRC channel is filled to the brim with trannies (they/them and she/her pronouns set as their IRC name).

It's nearly impossible to steal those projects from under the wings of big tech, this is why even microsoft is doing FOSS these days.
They have all the resources to fuck you up while they also have all the resources to hire developers and heavily market their own FOSS (or pseudo FOSS) products.

E.g. even with chromium browsers promising ungoogled software, it's still google that dictates the design choices of chromium through chrome and the chrome web store.

The right is by definition about exploitation. The difference between the very definition of capitalism and *that* is just in degree, not kind. There's absolutely no point in being surprised that some people don't find it surprising, they're looking at a feature of the system, treating everything as exploitable and disposable. And mind you, most of the left is also very much about exploitation, but in a way that leaves it open to criticism, because they say one thing and they do another. One can't criticise a capitalist for following his own standards of commodification, one can only find him repulsing.
