FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers

Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.

Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

How can I remove "Music" and "Videos" using the registry?
>>
>>107722371
You don't. The Quick Access list is stored in a file in %AppData%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\AutomaticDestinations (which is of course locked when you're running explorer.exe).
A much better option is to script the shell COM interface to make Windows think you've clicked "Unpin from Quick Access" - way less trouble.
>>
>>107722442
That sounds like a pain since I've never even manipulated the shell through a script. Maybe I'll look into it later.
Alright, for the background, I'm writing a shitty powershell script to edit images offline the way I want, stuff like adding/removing provisioned packages, features, editing the registry and so on. Most of the stuff I found on MDL.
I'm currently struggling with run orders and registry editing, more specifically HKCU stuff because well, they rely on an existing user, at least I think so.
Can those HKCU edits (things like taskbar alignment, theme, etc) be edited to the base default user by loading the ntuser.dat hive? Basically reg load HKLM\zNTUSER $tempFolder\Users\Default\ntuser.dat

And then what in an online image would be:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"TaskbarAl"=dword:00000000

Would turn into:
[HKLM\zNTUSER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"TaskbarAl"=dword:00000000

Also I forgot to ask, would you also need to do shell shenanigans to edit the start menu pins on windows 11? On windows 10 I can just move a LayoutModification.xml file to the proper place and it works but on W11 the json equivalent doesn't work. I even tried copying a start2.bin file to no avail.
... Maybe I should learn to edit images like real sysadmins too instead of trying to do everything the dumbest way possible.

No just keep romancing her but be very observant in how she behaves with the whole "fucked up in the head" thing in mind. Sometimes saying that is just women's version of self depreciation, and sometimes it's genuinely true. If she's cool and hot I'd say it's worth the risk, but again be observant and don't let your dick cloud your judgement.

I have a decent PC running Debian but all of my gaming is done on an offline Xbox One i got for $100 at a thrift store. I like being able to compartmentalize my gaming to one device + it's nice to have something that just works for once. It's definitely not for everyone but I'm a casual anyway.

im not a gaymer, but if i was i'd just buy another ssd and install batocera to emulate old stuff, mainly ps2. i dont trust gaymis code on my main os (also debian).
thats it, youre right for doing that. the final answer for gaymin in my view is always isolated emulation or a separate console.

That's fine if you're alright with it, but I am honestly not able to stomach the blurry graphics and bad performance you get out of consoles.

That's what I used to do, and for the same reason, but I built a new computer in 2023, and my old one was only from 2016, so it was still new enough to play most things (or anything that works on Proton). Now I just use that.

There's a new bug in Linux known as "sleepy Gnome".

Another incident of Gnome and SystemD messing up. You would think with all the donations and debugging that systemD got this wouldn't happen but it's now almost 2026 and basic sleep issues are still in SystemD.

why do people use this shit? What is it really, i use runit and it works fine and it is fast, you can write a simple script that will be your whole init system. Systemd is over-complicated and i have no desire to learn something like that. I only use simple, well written software.

what if a new package needs to start, will your package manager just happens it?
what if it strictly needs graphics or network on start? what if it depends on a service?
what if it needs a specific disk to exist?
can it parallelize?
can it create a report of detailed timings of every component?
can your well written software handle all this, automatically, without explicit intervention by a simple invocation of pacman -S or dnf install, maybe only with a restart in case it needs early boot conditions? or does it need constant babysitting and manual adapting for thousands of different combinations of packages

Pulsemixer automatically starts in a scratchpad terminal on top of my status bar. It's is toggled with super-a. Because I'm using wezterm, I can open a new tab, press ctrl-b, select the "videos" bookmark or a more specific bookmark in my videos directory, press either ctrl-t or ctrl-f, and select the video I want. I can simply switch back to the other tab to mute/unmute the preview, or super+l or super+right over to mpv and set it to fullscreen.

What are some memorable experiences you had regarding tech in school? I’ll start
>switch n and m keys on a keyboard in keyboarding class
>sperg kid sits there, looks down at the keyboard and almost immediately begins flipping out
>ancient teacher and tard wrangler lumber over to inspect
>they murmur together for a moment
>teacher says the keyboard must be defective, unplugs it, and throws it away
>waddles off to get a new keyboard from a supply closet
>mfw
Also, later that year
>write Visual Basic scrip that causes the CD tray to continuously open and close
>runs as a background process, and task manager was disabled on school PCs, so it’d keep going til you rebooted
>I am le 1337 haxx0r
>put file on a flash drive, bring it to school
>copy file to the desktop
