I unironically understand your sense of loss, you're not crazy. But you should reimagine it. Instead, think of it as your old pal in a set of new clothes. He's still your same old companion. Your KITT just got an upgrade, be happy for his sake. Rekindle the friendship.
>>
>>107836442
Once you have it all, you have nothing, back when I was a kid I used to be obsessed with computers and upgrading from one shitty GPU to another shitty GPU felt massive and adding more ram unlocked new possibilities, now that I have a pretty beefy PC, I don't feel like upgrading because it runs everything I want, I literally don't care about new hardware because it doesn't offer me anything, modern games are all shitty slop not worth playing, modern windows is a bloated clusterfuck made by jeets and modern hardware is a joke, an expensive joke thanks to AI, crypto and manchildren

>>
>>107834117
The purpose of juniors isn't to have a dumber version of a senior, it's to have a hedge against seniors.
A good junior is better than >=50% of seniors, is less expensive, less politically integrated so they can't get by off of playing politics (and the hierarchies are more clear), and has more time to work because of fewer family obligations

No it won't, they lack basic functionality you'd want out of an editor
Although I haven't used Unity in a long time so maybe they got better

I'm an automation engineer/chaos magician and I finally have proof that macOS is better than Linux. The catbox below is a servitor I made. It is a foul demon that takes control of my laptop and makes it do things like comment on 4chan. The video is a demo. Bout to refactor it so I can pass in the name of any 4chan thread I want.

It uses applescript. In other words, no lincucks allowed.

How come C# isn't more popular when it's basically Java but better? Is it because people distrust a language maintained by Microsoft, or does the JVM have non-obvious but crucial advantages over the CLR?

What benefit do I get rewriting all of my Apache camel/springboot in C#? And that's just before I have to deploy it anywhere, after that I need to rewrite parts of my CI/CD
>>
the only reason C# exists is so people can easily crack it open with a fucking hammer and mod out whatever dogshit the initial dev did
>>
>>107834144
It has nothing to do with "le distrust", real life has nothing to do with /g/'s schizophrenia, and all people spouting this crap ITT never had a job.
It is just that most companies you're thinking of are either older than C#, or C# was not fully fleshed out by the time they finished establishing themselves.
It costs more than you imagine to rewrite the entire company's project to another language, it is simply not convenient at all, even if it is a better language.
>>
>>107836370
I don't know. I'm mostly interested in backend work desu, so I didn't really look at how full-featured the UI libraries are. I know that the back-end frameworks in both languages are pretty full-featured.

21:9 at least 32" running Linux. KDE or GNOME, virtual desktops and shortcuts are important. Gaming at 16:9 while having a /g/ on your left and YouTube on your right. Or fucking discord and Spotify ... Whatever you zoomers use today. TomTom would be good, because the left over space is phone ratio.

Serious answer, If true WWIII were to happen, there wouldn't be any Windows operating systems to worry about. You'd likely be dead, incinerated instantly, along with millions of other. Most people have no idea what modern nuclear weapons are all about, and the multiple variations that exist now, and the magnitude they operate at. Simply put, they're a far cry from your pappy nukes, that rode shotgun on the Enola Gay, for bombing day.

It wouldn't be
>WWIII
and not be a full on nuclear hot war. Most of us will be gone. Pretty quick. The shear radius of a modern day nuclear air burst can and would easily take out thousands of miles. Yes thousands.

You better pray to the God of skinny punks that never happens.

>>107837253
And don't forget:
those that die in the initial strike would actually be the lucky ones.
Pardon- initial strikeS, including retaliatory fire. Mutually Assured Destruction, after all.

Everyone else gets to enjoy the rest of their admittedly short lives in a new post-apocalyptic radioactive hell-hole, larping as Fallout's vault-dwellers.

What dependancies does Microsoft Store, Desktop App Installer, Winget need? For some reason I notice that my LTSC after doing a wsreset -i, getting app installer and using powershell to get winget now has shit like this showing up in winget list

What's the best way to run a Linux VM on Windows 11?
>>
Quick question: does Windows 11 still wake all disks ~3 times an hour like 10 does? Or did they fix it?

t. wanna use Windows Storage Spaces as my NAS. It fits every single one of my requirements, it's the perfect fit for what I want...except for the waking drives problem. That is just gonna wear out the HDDs prematurely.
>>
>>107837285
I think every time you access the file explorer it'll wake the disks if they're connected. Either disconnect them or try to find a solution bcs I think that's the default behavior still. I used W11 only for a bit during 23H2 so it might've changed in 24H2 or 25H2 but I doubt it.
>>
>>107836415
I've always just used Virtualbox and it's worked fine. There's even guest addition packages in Arch that you install and enable its service and it feels like a real PC in the VM.
