What is it about big O notation that is so hard to understand for people?Despite being a fundamental concept in CS, so many CS graduates think they understand what big O means, but when they try to explain it they are completely wrong. For example pic related, almost every statement in the "explanation" is incorrect.
>>107724461https://desuarchive.org/g/search/image/gqACSvB_1wU0FOKVpAybYg/
>>107727871it's literally just a retard getting mad at everyone saying big O in place of saying computational time complexity, going on years.big O analysis is nice because I can easily do the "math" in my head to figure out the runtime of a function with just the shape of the loops and the statement in the body with the largest complexity (for each distinct algebraic units). if you drop the constant factors you don't have to meticulously add up all the statements like a beancounter. not to mention with modern cpus you couldn't to begin with.
I understand the redditor's explanation and >>107723367, but I don't understand >>107723493 because it's explained nonintuitively using symbols and words I don't care about. But from the simpler explanations I am able to understand the scale of what someone is talking about when they say O(n). So it serves its function for me. You'll have to try a lot harder to communicate and sound less like you have asperger's if you want to make me understand it the "right" way.
>>107727961holy
>>107727965forgot to mention that this absolute nigger preys on the fact that the field is full of people who just can't seem to get it, which triggers their insecurity and causes emperor's new clothes behavior that guarantees a shitstorm every time. complexity is easy. some retard spamming wrong to every post correctly explaining time complexity but not big O in a pure math context is sure to make it difficult.

cloud gaming will become extremely popular if this rumour end up being true
people are tired of subs infesting everything and FAGMANN overplayed their hand with them
>>107723404Because cloud gaming doesn't work. Who the fuck wants to pay a subscription to add an extra 30 ms of delay per frame and get video compression artifacts? If that's not bad enough then you've got to remember that these cloud gaming companies limit the number of hours you're allowed to play on them. They also won't let you play a game that recently updated.
>>1077231904090 is good enough, I'm just waiting on DDR6 so I can upgrade CPU and RAM still on DDR4 that would give me a bigger performance boost in space and flight sims.

i use a boox page, it's great! I put niagara launcher because I didn't want to see the boox shop in my homescreen and use koreader. i don't even remember what annoyed me about the built jn neoreader, but koreader does everything i need and even has custom lua patch support. just last night i had chatgpt write a patch to auto invert the prev/next buttons when i flip the reader to a different orientation by turning it or by manually using the koreader menu to change orientation.

>>107726968If you made the rig yourself, it was "probably" the rigs problem. Assuming you have little experience in it.Knowing how to make a good rig is 90% of the battle, you can get away with a shitty rigify setup but it's a world of a difference when you apply custom drivers etc.the last 10% is hoping the model you're supplied with in the pipeline doesn't suck ass, if made by you then it can be adjusted as long as you want, for example I have been working on this wretched kiki model for half a year on and off slowly tinkering her to perfection, just because I'm autistic.do not give in to AI slop videos, get a real model working and it will make your life so much easier I promise.
