you use swapfile/parition/ linux or swapspace in windows but if that is on a standard hdd it will be so slow you'd want to fucking kys. So goto second hand store and buy the cheap SSD and have it as your swap and not worry about it getting trashed from all the writes.
>>
>>107729256
also in linux (you should be using linux...) fstab options for drive

none swap discard 0 0

then it will not fuck it self and oom, discard option means it will free blocks on the fly not doing this could mean the drive runs out of space and needs trim command and remounting...
>>
and believe me wan could use depending on your system 50 Gigs swap space if your system only has 16/32 physical ram and that swap drive will use all its blocks in no time before then needing to free the blocks and make them available again.
>>
comfy will offload models into the swap which you want because reloading them from your multi TB hdd is much slower than loading them from an SSD or the ram. its all about the read speed MB/s anons :)

You want the swap of data to happen as fast as your machine can do it.
>>
A cheap ass mobo can hold like 128 GB physical ram but have you seen the ram prices? You knew that was gonna happen once people understood that offloading is a thing due to 24GB vram not even being enough. Next will be the SSD drives, they will come for those also.

D is such a cool language. I am having a lot of fun writing my new hobby project in it. It's not corporate-dictated, memory-safe with an easy opt-out when needed, and retains all the cool features from C++.

Such a disgrace it never got popular and instead we got an obstructionist language with a nonsense syntax and a brutally slow compiler.

A lot of my hobby projects are written in D and I really like writing in it. What I think would benefit it though is better tooling. Especially auto-complete with auto-import. Currently using neovim with serve-d as LSP implementation and while it does some things it clearly lacks functionality.
Often times it has no idea what type an "auto" variable has. Even if it knows the type, UFCS is not supported. I wish pressing dot would suggest any kind of method that is applicable to that type (from all available functions in std or own code).
Right now I keep looking at the docs to find what I am looking for instead of doing everything in the editor.
Using IntelliJ at work really shows how much of a difference a good IDE makes.

Ok but what kind of inbred mongoloid do you have to be to where your typing speed on a keyboard is so slow that a phone offers a comparable experience?
You can easily fix the UI in the browser with userscripts, so clearly there's more going on in your pea brain

It isn't about typing speed. It's about the browsing experience of 4chan. And not having to install 10 million userscripts and just having 1 app that does it ALL. For example: saving bookmarks, saving attachments, converting attachments, notifying you for (You)'s, saving/downloading threads, having different themes, etc etc. There's much more and I'm confident other anons can fill the gaps. Shitposting without kuraboex is the mongoloid thing in reality.

>Song submission rules/guidelines
Upload the file somewhere, preferably in a lossless format, and post the link here. If you want to update your track, make a new post.
Include the song title in the post, and make it clear that your song is a submission for the album.
Optionally you may include cover art for your track, but please confirm that the image in your post is the cover art or it won't be included. You may not use your real artist name.
Songs that contain anything against YouTube's policies won't be uploaded on YT, but will still be added to the album.
By default, tracks will be normalised to -14 LUFS (integrated loudness) in the release. You may specify a lower loudness for your track.
Use of AI is banned. This includes AI generated stems, samples, and effects. "AI" includes all neural network-based models and not hard-coded automation/procedural generation. You are allowed to ask an LLM about music-related questions, but asking it to give you musical ideas (eg. generating a chord progression) is already a no-no.

I don't know what's your setup, but if you have coiled cables try to keep them extended even if you don't need the full length. Also put a gate on that channel and set the threshold to whatever dB is the noise floor.

8" was a compromise that evaporated once the prices for large panels went down.

>I just don't understand why the fuck the resale value went through the roof.
The scalperpocalypse in 2020 for GPUs made every tech product increase price on the used market because people finally noticed they could price used electronics at almost retail price and still get buyers, instead of not paying attention to the prices.

There's definitely a lot of AI text. I don't have an issue as long as the author adapts the text to his own style and doesn't blatantly copy-paste everything.

From what I understand, the biggest risk of RSI / pain from ergonomics issues, is extreme forearm rotation and wrist angles. If you already have a kinesis advantage then perhaps try changing the elevation of your keyboard relative to where your forearms naturally are where typing. ie: Try raising / lowering the keyboard relative your forearms. The kinesis advantage already has tenting but you might invest in a keyboard with more extreme tenting, but I'd imagine that isn't what's causing it. You should really pay close attention to what hurts and where, and look up RSI pain for those specific places. Try finding anecdotes from people who had that pain and identified exactly what was causing it

Like >>107723390 said maybe you should consider it's caused by something other than keyboard use as well

4K is the trap.
1080 is more than enough.

For non-gaming or workstation, something from 20 years ago is more than enough.
>>
>>107728978
Great upside of still using a 20 year old dumb 32" 1080p LCD TV. It just werks and my RTX 4070 runs everything at max setting without breaking a sweat.
Only downsides are shit picture quality and small size, but I'll take that over spreading my asscheeks for modern TV manufacturers.

I'd rather rent a single pro 6000 Blackwell than buy (and pay electricity for) a 4x 5060ti shitrig. The 5060ti 16gb is your suicide stack card if you can't afford a 5070ti (it's literally half the compute of the 5070ti)

Replace "rent" with "buy on Amazon and send back after 30 days and pay a 20 dollar restock fee, rinse and repeat" if you're triggered by the r word

16V/64R is the cozy king of the vramlets spot for wan. 5 seconds in 3 minutes at 540p, 7ish minutes at almost 720p with Q8_0

I would not recommend a 5090 for wan video inference specifically. I would recommend a 5090 for training and future proofing and for the upcoming audio+video models and general ML development/claude code vibing and if at least 3 out of those 4 don't interest you then you don't need a 5090

You should use q8 gguf instead of fp8 scaled, it's higher quality and might use less memory actually because of how it does on the fly dequantization, but even if the memory thing is not true you should always use q8 over fp8 if you can

>novelai probably spends like a million dollars in compute per model if not more.
Back when imagegen was first getting hyped in 2022, NovelAI was one of the first companies to have a partnership with Nvidia and Nvidia basically gifted them an 8xGPU setup (I forget the cards). I'm sure it was a VC startup funding thing but I wouldn't be surprised if novelai has their own compute and so doesn't "spend" as much
