I thought Europe is on the decline and can't make anything good?
>>107668549Arrogance Europe used to do a lot more and its down to these few things. Now woth the decline of its industry and key supply chain suppliers being bough up by China or India they keep losing more and more high tech corps. The shift towards service industry isnt going to stop its going to accelerate.
>>107668672How much of that is actual production and hoe much is Wall Street-type bullshit and OnlyFans?
Yes, Europe is definitely a powerhouse as evidenced by them complying with US export regulations as you do as a sovereign independent entity.
>>107668690Europe doesn't need to follow US patents or use US tech infrastructure.

Any version of Windows since 1995 has been more polished, production-ready and user-friendly than any Linux distro ever made. That's obvious to anybody who has installed both of them on the same machine. Are Linux users just lying about their distros being a better experience than a Windows installation?
>>107621970better is subjective you fucking retardin my user experience of linux it has been far superior in performance, stability, and overall simplicity. it's also significantly better for programming which is enough reason on its own to never look back at windows (i also have all my games, + don't use shit like adobe)doesnt help linux's reputation that there's several different desktop environments and options to choose from which provide differing experiences to new users (some fit certain people better than others) but having the choice to have multiple is ultimately a positive imo. best advice is to choose one of the major distros (i'd say fedora or mint) and stay away from diy like arch if you're not already familiar with linux
>>107621970it's 2025, everyone has not only access to google but now our own personal fucking JARVIS, yet technical literacy is at an all time low. why can't people use computers?
>>107621970I use Linux because it doesn't send all my key presses to Microsoft along with screenshots every few seconds and because it's better for a good amount of programming tools. The experience is worse in some ways, but my OS not being malware is important enough to overlook it.

>>107670633It's kinda mind-blowing how, for many years, and except for Microsoft and a handful of equally retarded retards, most companies were able to understand that having good programmers was better than hiring some shit durgasoft dev for 1/50th the price, because having a product that actually worked was in their best interest. And now, all those companies who resisted ruining their products are slowly deciding that they all are happy with an ai literally worse than those cheap programmers they didn't want. Like, <very cheap and bad> wasn't worth it, but <even cheaper and worse> is suddenly a great deal.I didn't expect society collapsing because there would be a point where every company would be speedrunning getting worse than windows 11, but here we are.

I bought a refurbished acer laptop off ebay. It has windows 11 on and it required me to make an account to start. Okay fine. A couple days later I'm getting emails that my account has had unauthorized access multiple times and even my linkedin was accessed. They completely locked me out of my account. Fucking pajeet bastards. Coincidence or I'm thinking the gained access because of the new laptop? I don't even like windows 11, should I just install a new windows 10 on it? Not sure what to do.

>>107669738Usecase for Windows on a refurbished laptop?
>>107669738Most likely, what happened when they reinstalled the operating system is they used the same license key or something like that. And now that the laptop is in a different location, it's thought that the laptop was stolen or something similar to how if you log into Netflix somewhere in New Jersey and then give your password to someone in Philadelphia, it will require you to get an email confirmation so that it's not just someone who guessed your password using your account.

The most puzzling thing about MV3-based content blockers is this line in the Chrome docs:>Note: As of Manifest V3, the "webRequestBlocking" permission is no longer available for most extensions. Consider "declarativeNetRequest", which enables use the declarativeNetRequest API. Aside from "webRequestBlocking", the webRequest API is unchanged and available for normal use. Policy installed extensions can continue to use "webRequestBlocking".https://developer.chrome.com/docs/extensions/reference/api/webRequestWhy are MV3 blockers missing so much functionality then? Can't they just use dNR to block and wR for literally everything else? Both uBlock and AdGuard docs refer to limitations in the dNR API for various things that are not blocking, but these operations that are not blocking can just be done in wR it would seem.
