The wife wants me to buy her some cleaning technology to make her job a little easier. She asked for a battery vacuum that can take batteries for a quick suck before she mops.

I already own some Makita tools and Milkwakee so I have a bunch of spare batteries she can mooch from. What stick vacuumn technology should I get her so she can clean our house?

Don't get a Dyson. Just had a v15's motor burn out, a year after the warranty ran out. Took it apart, loads of internal voids that collect mountains of dust between the prefilter and motor module, which turns out is a sealed unit that is a total bitch to open up. I can even see the copper coils through the perforations but can't access them without butchering the whole thing. Dyson just replaces the whole body if there's an issue with the motor, out of warranty - £160, which just a scam in my opinion. Overpriced crap, fuck them.

Instead, For £210 - not much more than the replacement dyson body, I've been considering the makita 40v CL004G, since I already have XGT batteries. Powered head, optional hepa filter, 3 year warranty. Small collection bin, but can just be emptied more often and I know every part will be available for replacement at reasonable price.
>>
>>107632062
Dyson is made for 20V batteries like DeWalt uses. With 18V you have shorter run time and the motor doesn't get up to full speed in turbo mode. I think LG and Shark have ones with swappable batteries. As long as you have two it should be fine.

ITT we share helpful firefox user_prefs that make it better. I'll start.

user_pref("full-screen-api.transition-duration.enter", "0 0");
user_pref("full-screen-api.transition-duration.leave", "0 0");
user_pref("full-screen-api.warning.timeout", 0);

This removes the annoying banner saying press ESC to exit fullscreen every time you fullscreen a yt video.

user_pref("media.videocontrols.picture-in-picture.video-toggle.has-used", true);
user_pref("browser.engagement.downloads-button.has-used", true);

With this in your user.js before you open the browser it won't popup instructions on obvious features. I have a pretty big user.js based on betterfox that disables telemetry and toggles all the settings the way I like them so it's completely configured on install without doing anything, and then I've added a bunch of minor quality of life conveniences like these. Share yours anons.

Can you code something useful for firefox like example
I download ton of porn directly from browser network and sometimes some of downloads fail
Remove from history and delete file is way too close to each other in Firefox download section
How about script that?
But no
Let imagine imaginary problem that i can fix after watching 5 jeet tutorials on how to fuckup user.js by fixing nonissue while real problems are there to stay

Dumb people are going to be dumb.

I have an acquaintance who I've gotten into two AI arguments with. She's a firm anti AI person, despite never having used it. She tried to tell me how AI works, even though I've literally made machine learning programs before, and also tried to tell me that it's "SLAVE LABOR!" But in the same breath she also says "AI is just a word guesser."

I kept trying to calmly explain to her how AI actually works, but she called me a "techno machine God worshipper". I left after that.

Dumb people are going to be dumb.

It's really too bad everyone has an equal voice on the internet. It gives these dumbasses way too much weight.

LLMs are conditional probability models, not just a univariate probability law. Thinking is also about seeing your thinking and acting based on it. Thinking models guess the next thinking token based on the previous ones, and they respond based on the thinking tokens. This is a simplified version of our brain.
>>

Imagine getting so retarded that you actually argue with a woman thinking it would be fruitful
>>
>>107622612
On my end they will use it for weather related claims denials. They already do.
>You call in a claim for weather at your house
>Your insurer uses Verisk Respond
>Verisk Respond says fuck you no weather at your address by doing a cursory scan of the NOAA and proprietary prediction algorithms based of radar data
>"We're sorry, the hail at your house wasn't big enough to damage anything. Please fuck off. If you choose not to fuck off, your next inspection will be a forensic engineer that only works for us."
The problem with this is that they aren't scraping live radar data because the NOAA won't let them. It's all extrapolations. What it really means is that I (or the policyholder), needs to hire a forensic engineer and a meteorologist to prove this bullshit wrong. The additional problem is that insurers will use this for denial, get sued for it, but the will settle before the decision ever becomes case law so they and their scumfuck colleagues can never have it used against them on court. There is no criminal penalties for acting in Bad Faith, and there are only civil penalties if you exercise your rights under the policy and sue them. The vast majority of people don't.

Uhm, so hard to choose.

Still thinking what to do with the left side.
If I should either put another portrait panel on an arm like the one on the right (got a second one, same model) or a CRT on a stand for /vr/ (got several to choose from too).

Panel is more useful for general usage, but it would be nice to use my main desktop for /vr/ too.
Both would be too convoluted already, I'd need to switch too between them and I'd end up hating it instead.
