Anyone here using a Robot Vacuum? I'm thinking of getting an X40 Ultra and flashing it with Valetudo. I can get it for $1,700 AUD now (~$1,100 USD) but I'm thinking it might get cheaper on Black Friday.

How fast do you want it to go? Also if you make it go faster it'll be even worse at cleaning. These aren't ment to be deep cleaning they are for maintenance. I have two vacuums for up and down stairs. They keep the dust managed and keep everything cleaner longer without having to mop. If you want to mop get a steam mop its easy. I haven't used the mop feature on any robot as I don't think it really does much seeing how I mop regularly anyway.
>>
>>106529776
they are just as good at cleaning sucking up pet hair, random hairs, dust, dirt, and so forth. You still gotta mop every soften but I imagine with mop attachment it'll be fine. At least if its a low traffic area.
>>
I got a cheaper dreame (L10s) and it's handy. Some pointers
>get a more expensive model with extensible mop to reach the corners
>set it to max everything, except if you have a huge mansion. Max suction, deep mopping, max dampness, mop wash every 10sqm
>do not buy the official detergent, you can refill it with cheaper stuff
>buy parts from aliexpress in advance
>keep it clean on the inside
>>
>>106529896
I was looking at that model because it's half off at the moment, but people said it doesn't work well on thick carpet because it has lower suction power.
I'm very much buy once, cry once. Would rather spend more now
>>
I've got one of these rebranded 3irobotix CRL-200S ones and am very happy with it. I run it once a day which greatly reduces dust buildup. I clean out the dust compartment once a week. And don't use the mop.
Being able to run Valetudo on it was important to me because I don't want to be reliant on a proprietary app and cloud provider. They may choose at any time to include ads, discontinue their service, or put features behind a paywall. With Valetudo I just block the robot's internet access and everything still works and will work the same way forever (until the robot breaks down).

Chinkfiman hate is entirely justified, every headphone I've ever bought from them was built and sounded like shit.
That being said moondrop/fiio have been pretty good in my experience so idk why the other guy hates the chinks so much, maybe they raped him.

Their tuning target is shit and as a result all of their headphones are thin sounding. Better QC and build quality than chinkfiman for sure but that's not a very high bar.

Yeah, they're pretty good.

>Objective-C, in the corner crying
After they tossed the shit in where it automatically did retain and release on your reference count everything was there
If it needed another method to access memory directly or use another method than reference counting to do the management I am sure you could easily modify it
Even adding in more restrictions to prevent being a total moron could be added

I think everyone was just asshurt that apple used it with iOS and Mac and by association the spergs couldn’t handle the heat

The open source community continually does this, instead of improving an existing tool they try to create a new one
>>
>>106530198
Objective C doesn't have anything like the borrow checker and nobody would have used it if it did. It's just an ordinary ref counting system that C++ also has via smart pointers.
>>
I like both C and Rust.

>>

>>106530218

objective-c is a dynamic language where you can swap implementations of classes and methods at runtime. cpp and rust can't do this

The idea is to replace YouTubers with AI-generated YouTubers. Nowadays it's mindless slop (which, mind you, is already enough to replace like 70% of YouTubers), give it 5 or 10 more years, and they will replace it all with AIs. Guess if you are still doing videos for the sake of creating, without thinking of money, it won't affect you
>>
>>106524267
>always free
>no ads
How it's gonna survive then? Foss fags seems to not understand you don't have to enslave yourself, it's absolutely possible to make money and not be cartoonishly evil with it like modern tech companies. No one complained about yt ads before they started to put them everywhere, even in your "no ads" paid subscription
>>
>>106530325
The same way YouTube survived when it was "always free" and "no ads": they had to be bailed out by Google and made "not always free" and "full of fucking ads" to pull their weight.

Kek. Everything except a handful of games run on myy i5 650.

Even AVX hasn't seen mass adoption in 15 years, just 5-6 years before the patents expire. Why do you think AVX-512 has a chance, especially when intel dropped it entirely?
>>
>>106528996
That's x86_64 v4. v3 (AVX2 support) will be enough to kill it off. Red Hat already implements it, MS will follow since officially they require a TPM for Win11 and models with TPM and without AVX2 are very rare.

A friend of mine said: "fastman, fastgirl, fastmaid, fatgirl, fatmaid is a three michelinstar*** concept". I don't have an opinion about it myself and it's not something I would say myself, but this is what my friend said. I'm also not really sure about what he meant by it but it's what he said. I'm just explaining what my friend said, it's not something I have said or would say myself just to be clear. I hope this is clear, but just to clarify more: This is not something I would say; it's something that my friend said and I'm just repeating what my friend said. I hope everyone understand this and don't think that I would ever say or have said or will say this because it's not true. I'm just explaining what my friend said and I'm not even fully clear about what he meant with it. I would never say something like this myself; I'm just explaining what my friend said just to be clear. I also love everyone in the world just to be clear. I would never say something like this myself just to be clear. I hope this is clear. I love everyone in the entire world just to be clear. I just like to explain what my friend said, but I don't always agree with what my friend says just to be clear. I love everyone and I hope that we can get along. I hope this is clear. I don't have an opinion about it myself just to be clear. I hope this is clear. I love everyone.

The most common type of error you'll see is something like "Preflight check failed" (if you open the developer console, otherwise it'll just silently fail):
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Guides/CORS/Errors/CORSPreflightDidNotSucceed

This is especially annoying in the case of some sort of network issue (not yours) because it will just fail until you try it again.

Seriously? Your completely unhinged ranting about Firefox is just pathetic. It’s clear you're trying to get a reaction from someone who’s simply enjoying using software that works for them. Instead of wasting your time insulting others, maybe try focusing on constructive criticism or learning how to use a computer properly. Your language is abusive and completely inappropriate. Grow up.
