It still exists, for the simple stuff that can be done on device, in the background, with tiny models.
For everything good, it's unavoidable that Apple call a beefy server in some data center instead.
I don't think edge AI is going to work. Manufacturers, Apple in particular, give you way too little VRAM and disk space to run models that would do a good enough job to justify using them. And that's not even mentioning that AI coprocessors are literally hundreds of times weaker at AI compute than a 5090.

Apple initially claimed they were going to create something called private cloud compute (https://security.apple.com/blog/private-cloud-compute/) where they were going to host their own hardware (mac pros and mac studios, and probably custom built Apple server hardware) and host their own models on it, but it looks like they didn't manage to make any remotely competitive model run on that architecture, which is why they're making deals with "Open"AI and Google instead now. Sad!

Dude, I saw this movie in the theatre, only person there, and I was lmao the entire time. All I had was AOL for YEARS, we didn't have any other high speed options.

AOL actually had gaming early on. They had some mech warriors game, and.... get this... IT WAS FREE. Internet security at that point was non existent and you could download 'progs' that would have all sorts of AOL-centric options to do.

You could send someone a instant message, and then sent them a "bomb" and kick them offline. You could go into a chat room, and the thing would literally brute force every account in the room and give you their login info.

I was on ebay in 1998.

i had sex with a woman i met on a phpbb forum. Pre social media internet was amazing really. Websites were built to be efficient but still unique and cool, i am frequently digusted by modern website "design" and how bloated it is. IRC was the first place i started making friends outside of my home town, i was part of some really niche communities and if i tried explaining half of what went on i'd look fucking insane. i miss it.

Should elon musk buy reddit? He bought twitter for $44 billion, and reddit is only worth $37 billion. In 3 years, his net worth has increased by 200 billion. Reddit is one of the biggest site on the web, and certainly profitable.

How can he convince the reddit owners to sell their site?

Nothing over 720p is needed for Chinese cartoons. 720p would be great for utube if it had enough bitrate. For movies 1080p is better. 4K is an upscaled meme.

I've registered multiple alts on several websites using username+youfuckingretard00001@gmail.com and they treated it like an unique email, actual nocoders do this shit, I don't know why they do this, it just makes people hate email more than they already did, and that means that nobody uses email anymore except bots.

Hello anons, I'm looking for a very small keyboard for my small table. Might as well get mechanical. I have a Razer Cynosa Chroma membrane one currently. Before that, the RedTranny Kumara broke in less than 2 years or so. I want a keyboard that's identical to that except it's actually fucking durable. What I liked in the Kumara is: Size, PRICE (I'm Brazilian, tech sucks here and my limit is 500 reais), keys themselves, and everything else. What I disliked was that it could be smaller. I like nothing on my Cynosa, it's cancer.

TL;DR: Mechanical with small size, cheap and accessible in Brazil (500 reais tops), and that's mostly it. I use it for programming, gaming, and typing.
>>
>>107124213
they should also be symmetrical with LED diffusers on both sides. no reason to have them interfere with caps, they don't need that bump anymore. they can be installed in reverse and they work just the same.
so magnetic keyboards have no business having south facing leds

So I own a MacBook, and I was trying to use arrow keys to go through the images on it. You can't do this unless you left click and drag the box over all the pictures to open them up in an album. They aren't just naturally in an album even though they are already in a folder....so I have to perform extra steps....just because okay?! And there is so much more shit like this.

This shit is literally driving me insane and I want to take a hammer to this thing. I am done with Macs forever fuck these pieces of shit.

If you own one for whatever reason, just put another OS on it. I retired a 2019 macbook from work and I was surprised I got to keep it. I put Omarchy on it and it's bretty good. Would have put a BSD on it, but the T2 chip on it is preventing a lot of OSes from being installed. I'm not a fan of Apple, but the screen is very nice.

They did but Apple made some insane requirements for non-webkit browsers on iOS. You can have ublock-origin lite now on safari though. Also Edge browser supports it (without the need to download an extra app like with safari). Also I believe Orion browser supports the full ublock-origin?
