you still haven't understood that ai slopping is a death cult?
>>
>>107592286
No one is currently getting rid of the methods to create other art anyhow.

We just got one additional method with AI and the consideration you might want to make is that your AI tools don't become locked down in some corporation but remain usable locally.

this, anti-ai trannies should have raised the alarm a long time ago when everyone was seemingly okay with having slop churned out everywhere all the time
if you think only now it's serious, you're part of the problem, you're the reason we're here faggot
for the record I hate ai-jeets considerably more

You shoudn't base your opinion on AI based on which groups are more likely to be for or against it, that's just culture war brainrot. There are spiteful nihilists on both sides.
I don't give a fuck about trannies on Bluesky losing art commissions, but I still dislike AI art for being soulless.

Yes! I prefer NBP for photorealism, but for animation it seems Image-1.5 is good.
>>
>>
>>107592853
For anime I think it defaults more on its generic style. This is "A high-quality 1988 retro anime screencap in the style of Gunbuster, character design by Haruhiko Mikimoto." in NBP.
>>
… and this is the same style, minus the character design part (artist names are blocked), in Image-1.5.

No attempts at style transfer using references in both, just direct txt2img. NBP isn't perfect, but it's much more reminiscent of the specified style, in my opinion.

i thought about it but i'd rather just put the hundred bucks into saving up for a real upgrade since my PC is fine for the foreseeable future.
>>
>$100 Goyzen Gaymin peepee
The board has gone up in price and costs $150 now
still needs cooling some kind of casing, needs cooling and a psu and bios modding (to properly alocate the RAM), draws 150W in idle, no audio port, no gpu acceleration in windows
when all is said and done you're paying $250 and maybe half a dozen hours of your time for significantly weaker PS5 that can run Linux, at that point just buy a PC.
>>
If Windows could run on this it would eat up a huge chunk of RAM. You'll be stuck on Linux with it. And you'll be stuck on Steam

Is Qt worth learning? And is the Qt Creator a good IDE for developing in C++ in general, or do the projects usually orient around Qt and QML because you are using their ide which is for that?

Don't buy anything OTHER THAN IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad T, X, and W/P Series if you want the Real Business Experience™

Why ThinkPad?
>Used machines are plentiful and cheap
>Excellent keyboards, tactile feel and quiet + the TrackPoint
>Great durability: magnesium roll cage for structural integrity, with high quality plastic body panels
>Utilitarian design: e.g. indicator LEDs, 7 row keyboard layout on older models
>Docking stations that easily turns your laptop into a desktop
>Easy to repair (most models), upgrade & maintain thanks to readily available service manuals for every model, spare parts easy & cheap to obtain
>Excellent Linux & *BSD support

Which one should I get if I want the comfy laptop experience and mediocre tablet doom scrolling?
>>
>>107591289
>comfy laptop
Convertible. Detachables literally can NEVER be a comfy laptop because just to be used as a laptop they need all three of the following:
1. flat surface
2. kickstand just to stay upright
3. mushy keyboard option that attaches via fiddly connector
Also 9/10 times a detachable will have worse IO than an equivalent convertible. If you want a tablet that can sometimes pretend to be a laptop, detachables are fine. If you want any sort of proper laptop experience you probably want a convertible.
>>
>>107591289
We have a Lenovo Duet 7i as a spare at work, and while the concept of a MS surface clone with a slightly better keyboard is interesting it's ultimate a terrible user experience compared to a regular laptop where you have to use the kickstand all the time.

If you still want something that is somewhat usable grab an X-series yoga (like X1 yoga or the X13 convertibles) and you will still use it in laptop and or docked form for 90% of the time, or better yes get a Samsung Tab S10 (non-fe) with the keyboard case.

and you're technically correct, but relicensing the original code is still not legally enforceable
if you take two files from a BSD licensed project and only modify one of them and say "this is now GPL," and someone pulls code from the unmodified file (or any unmodified lines from the changed file) you can say "ooooh, you have to release your changes because this is under GPL now," you can't actually enforce this in court, because all the downstream dev has to do is say "nope, this code is copyright the original developer and is still under the BSD license"
you can license any changes you make under a copyleft license, but you cannot relicense the original code; neither copyright law nor the BSD license permits that, you can only GPL license code to which (You) own the copyright
>>
>>107592710
Right, and none of this was ever my argument, or the argument of the other Anon who was talking about talking a BSD project and slapping GPL on it. You're essentially arguing with yourself here, beating down a straw man that you have built for yourself.
>>
>>107592828
>talking a BSD project and slapping GPL on it
and you still can't do that
it's meaningless and unenforceable
you can only license YOUR CHANGES under GPL
you cannot "slap GPL" on BSD licensed code to which you do not own the copyright

>>107589493
Another reason why I think people often don't engage with my thoughts, is because they're usually quite fleshed-out and there's not much to add to the discussion, even if they're interested in the subject matter. Half the time I'm sure they're just put off by my ego.
