one thing i don't like about simpcity is that it has shit discoverability. you need to know what the model's name is.

NTA but i run Arch and use Ubuntu font whenever possible. It looks joyful and dynamic while also being very readable. It's the sexiest sans-serif font bar none. The only other font that comes close are the Iosevka family.

is the backend actually phpbb? wouldn't be able to tell from the front end

Anyone else have issues loading 4chan on Safari? It stalls for about 12 seconds every now and then. I looked at the traffic in Wireshark. It's all good, no 12 second delays.

There is definitely something going on with Safari. I have all the iCloud proxy and hide my IP stuff disabled. I don't have this issue when using p.4chan.org.

I'm using macOS 26 with the M4.

How are 37% of indian CS grads not able to write code that compiles?
49 replies and 4 images omitted. Click here to view.

>>108103994
So 63% can write one that compiles? that seems quite high
>>
>>108111206
I was about to say literally just this. I refuse to believe 63% can write code that compiles. This study/statistic was made up by the same degree mills certifying entire villages of Indians as IT experts each day.
>>
>>108103994
>IT
IT people aren't supposed to code, which is why they fucking can't. Getting an IT degree is supposed to get you a job in tech support or network management, like the bar graph says below.
Holy shit.

Having worked in international companies for a while, one or two Chinese in an otherwise Western team are fine workers and actually enjoyable to work with.
As soon as you put a third in there it turns to shit though. My theory is that once you have 3 chinks in a room, face saving culture takes over, and nothing they do can be trusted any more.

Indians are a different beast and chinks shouldn't be compared to them. I have yet to meet one that can be trusted with writing a hello world.

Low iq monkey detected. Most other countries, India and EU in particular, use "IT" as an umbrella term for SWE.

Just tested this as an alternative for Discord and have to say it's actually pretty good. Encrypted chats, voice and screen share with unlimited quality and bitrate and you can host your own server if you want. It's open source and partly compatible with Matrix (devs claim they are working on making it fully compatible). Why did nobody of you faggots mention this as a Discord alternative before? Fuck Element, Teamspeak will be my future Matrix client.

I used a logitech m575, kensington slimblade, mx vertical, apple magic trackpad. Everything will give you rsi if used too much, the trick is switching between various devices often. I settled with the mx vertical and the magic trackpad (yes it works on linux with full gesture support)

I have a Deft Pro and I adore it. I felt like a retard spending so much money on a mouse, but it's a million times better.
When I was picking which mouse to get I was particular about getting one I could articulate with my index and middle fingers, because I could easily imagine my thumb cramping up or getting numb if I were to try to navigate with it.
>>
>>108111461
is it linux compatible? website says only windows and macOS

I use an MX Ergo, it's not bad but go with a fingerball instead especially if portability isn't that big a deal. Thumbballs risk thumb strain

help me choose a distro.

i am a longterm windows user, and i want to move to linux, my rig is very basic, 4060ti, 5 5600 cpu, 32gb of ram, so i think i can get by playing any games, but choosing is hard, is mint enough? i dont work on my desktop, but on a company laptop, so i primary use my pc for vidya and basic stuff, but vidya comes from steam and battlenet

I would get mint if I were you, and just use firefox. Dig through the settings and disable the telemetry.

If you're willing to tinker a bit (and nowadays AIs can help), I would try out fedora workstation.

I'm told cachyOS is good for gayming, but it's arch-based so I haven't tried it myself t. 20+ years on debian and derivates

I like mint and use it on several computers, but cinnamon just feels like a toy compared to kde

I don't see a gaming use case for Wayland unless you are deliberately trying to lower your fps.
Hyprland and Waydroid are currently the only reasons I can see for using Wayland at all.

Yes, go with Linux Mint and ignore most of the replies. Mint is pretty good for beginners. You don't have to worry about Wayland and other stuff like that at this point. Try out alternatives and research the docs only if you really want to learn how it all works, or need a special kind of setup.

yes, that's the resize feature that came with HTML5/CSS3 around 2010 or so. It wasn't available earlier and some sites still disable it because it can break the layout when you resize the textarea.

A lot of people, even oldfags, don't seem to know that if you put your email address in the Options field when submitting a post, you will receive an email every time someone replies to that post. It always astounds me when people who've been browsing this website for 15+ years don't know shit like this. I showed the Thread Watcher to a 40-something-year-old that claimed to have been shitposting here since 2007 and it blew his mind.

When I used to work at a Google DC IDK how many people had dead keys.
It was worse for contractors because we where only allowed one enrolled key and had to present to some Indian on Meet to set up our accounts again if it died.

I still have like 3 of them but kinda afraid to use them as they aren't reliable clearly.
