Just tested this as an alternative for Discord and have to say it's actually pretty good. Encrypted chats, voice and screen share with unlimited quality and bitrate and you can host your own server if you want. It's open source and partly compatible with Matrix (devs claim they are working on making it fully compatible). Why did nobody of you faggots mention this as a Discord alternative before? Fuck Element, Teamspeak will be my future Matrix client.

I tried it when they dropped the beta last fall. It doesn't have basic functionality like a server admin being able to delete chat messages, or those chat messages being stored server side. I honestly think the only reason teamspeak 6 hasn't taken off is because the devs or the company are being funded specifically not to. That is the only logical reason that explains the complete dumpster downfall of teamspeak

Perhaps another process that doesn't have an obvious name is using it
Use Powertoy's File Lockpicker or Sysinternal's Handle to identify the process that is using the file
You'll get a process ID and can then end it in task manager.

I am a terminally online autist who just likes to hoard and archive shit, especially music and videos, should I get a Toshiba N300 over a WD Red Pro or Seagate Ironwolf/Barracuda?, here in my shithole country the Toshiba that I thought of buying is 18 TB, cheaper than a 16 TB WD Red Pro, and same price same price as a 12 TB WD RED Pro and a 16 TB Ironwolf, from my research, I hear that the Toshiba N300 is trustworthy, fast, and reliable, but very fucking loud, overall is the loud noise worth it as long as I can get 18 TB to hoard an archive of youtube videos and torrented music albums?

Useful to mention that I plan to make it my general hoarder/archive drive to download shit for 2-3 years until I get a new replacement, I will not even put it on a NAS or anything, just put it inside my PC and use it the oldschool way, I plan to use an NVMe SSD to be my general drive for daily usage, and the big 18 TB one to hoard my decade-old computer files and download videos and music.

I use reddit on my phone browser with a logged in account which has always worked fine, but now when I click on a post it gives me a red error saying "Your request has been blocked by network security. Please try to login with your reddit account"
It's only until I refresh the post that the error disappears and I can see the comments. I am also able to comment after a refresh. But clicking on another post triggers this error again. What's weirder is that it completely reloads the home feed when I go back, wheras in the past I'd keep scrolling where I left off.
I deleted all the cache and cookies and have also logged in on a different browser, but the error persists. Is this a shadowban or something like that? What can I do to perma fix this?

Has anybody on here analyzed the qwen 4B model trained/tuned for the ace step 1.5 as an optional step before generation?

I can't find information about how ace step produced audio codes from audio sources. The qwen 4B of ace step is trained to reproduce, based on a metadata prompt (I think lyrics are included) "audio codes" that look like this:
<|audio_code_1492|>

I've tried searching and llm-ing, and it seems that ace step has kept that in house.

The code for loading data is currently very bad so it takes like 30 minutes to load a large model.
I'll test larger models once I've fixed that.

No, the reason all the top trackers are clammed up so tight is precisely because they're getting a slow and steady flow of experienced users from these pathways available to new users now. If those pathways dry up, the trackers will look for new ones. There will always be routes available.

Why didn't they make it so a room is only hosted on one server and everyone participating can access it with an API from every other server? Why does every room need to be copied to every other server creating infinite bloat and making it impossible to run your own server? Are they retarded or is there a deeper reason?

I find it fascinating how the "AI will kill SAAS" narrative popped up everywhere seemingly overnight and now the markets are freaking out. Everyone sued to use it, but they just pirated it. You appear to have hit the nail on the head though: "People edited photos...in their phone gallery". Normies now use their phone as their primary computing device, and no one gives a shit about Adobe there. Adobe is thoroughly a desktop software.

It feels very sluggish, and if you are used to 1000-8000hz then you will miss buttons and feel bad trying to be fast or accurate with the cursor.

I own a FW16 and I regret it because they STILL have not acknowledged the thermal throttling that happens in the original batch and sent replacements or a method to fix it.

The "closest" they've come to acknowledging it is giving a shunt (that they no longer offer, thanks Jeetman and Linus Sebastian!), and that's it. Their internal support lines have NO FUCKING IDEA about it and the Jeet CEO hasn't acknowledged it.

Tech Tubers like Linus or Level1 haven't acknowledged it either.

#define __NR_sendfile            40

https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man2/sendfile.2.html

this guy is pretty cool! i think i mentioned him in one of the earlier threads. quite handy for saving you the effort of all the stat, buffer, read, write nonsense.
i was a bit torn about whether to include
copy_file_range
in today's thread, but it's distinct enough that it will get its own. it's basically the same thing, though (same for splice and tee lol). linux really loves to do that, huh?
anyway, yeah, great syscall! highly recommend using it where you can. in a lot of places it's going to be just a drop in replacement.
oh, one last point. the dual use of the offset argument is pretty neat. i really like that
