An essential component of AGI is the ability to learn. AI as it currently exists is fixed and has no ability to grow beyond the current state of its model. These fixed models do well to fake intelligence, but are incapable of producing anything novel.

Spotify has a popularity parameter from 0 to 100, 50% of songs have a popularity value of 0 and they are archived at half the quality as anything with a non-zero popularity. 0 popularity is something like under 5000 listens

If you backup just the stuff with 1-99 popularity you probably get a good signal to noise ratio and a reasonable and respectable archive of humanity's musical output for little effort

You know that there is a lot of different kinds of paper? Most designers used and use macs. That's just true as no designer uses linux..
>>
>>107634960
Most modern designers are shit too, comes with the macfag seal of approval.

But seriously, most professional photographers, graphical designers, and video editors do not like glossy. I searched, and the opinion remains the same. I'm not making shit up and I can understand why even if I'm not one.

I'm a software engineer and glossy is horrible, super distracting, eye tiring, and doesn't even look good in movies or games imo. It looks as if everything is behind a watery glass. The real world is not glossy.

If you prefer it, fine, but for me OLED is glossy and that's a deal breaker. I'm not the only one with this opinion and so mini-led IPS already surpassed OLED in sales.
>>
>>107634498
>is it immune to "burn in" or degraded pixel brightness?

>wow a 1000$ monitor lasts 3 years! that's great!
Burn in is not a binary death sentence, of course we'd rather not have it but early retention is not perceptible even in office scenarios, much less in media/gaming
I'm at 6500 hours, no manual refresh ever, and zero burn in. I'll probably get some retention in the next 6500 hours but who the fuck cares if I'm not looking at fixed colors full screen?
>4k at 27 and up isn't THAT dense
Agreed, but irrelevant if fringing is not noticeable
>on a monitor it's only a non issue if you're blind
You probably are too worried about reviews where they zoom the fuck in. At 12" from the screen sure you can see it, but at ~24" you don't anymore
>the best display related technology humankind has ever created in the last 100 years
Fuck off
>having to give up using vrr on such an expensive screen is an issue, yes.
It *IS* a compromise, but who buys these panels to play at 30 fps? VRR improves tearing at shit frame rates and nothing else, I just use fixed 240Hz and don't care about it
>yeah if you keep pretending all of those huge flaws just don't exist, sure.
Of course OLED has flaws, but they are fewer and smaller than any other panel tech. You are autistically far overestimating them. I don't want to look at IPS/VA/TN screens ever again.
>>
>>107635665
>I'm at 6500 hours, no manual refresh ever, and zero burn in. I'll probably get some retention in the next 6500 hours
yeah who cares if you get some retention in like... 1 and an half year of usage, just get a new one goy.
>who buys these panels to play at 30 fps? VRR improves tearing at shit frame rates and nothing else
I won't even bother wasting time replying to all of the previous nonsense, if you don't understand what VRR does for frame pacing/input lag reduction compared to vsync (no, tearing isn't an option dumbass) you clearly have no fucking idea what you're talking about
and are you seriously going to pretend that whatever computer you're using can hit a constant 240 fps at high/maxed out settings + high resolution on EVERY single game including the latest unreal engine slop? there's no way you aren't compromising something to make that happen, and even if you do, it's still not as good as vrr is.
you're blind, retarded, and clueless, kys.

>FreeBSD seems more flexible and likely easier to transition to
yes; it is easier to learn and the handbook is more in-depth than openbsd's faq
>OpenBSD is made out to seem more cohesive
a cohesive system is one trait shared by all BSD operating systems, it's part of the core philosophy
>Void Linux
I have only touched alpine, debian, and (most unfortunately) ubuntu so I can't help there specifically
what I can tell you is that every time I use linux I get frustrated to some extent
I often run into package management dependency issues, something freebsd solved ~20 years ago
the thing I absolutely hate the most is how software is out of date because they only provide packages for versions released years prior, so you have to add a separate package repository to get a newer version
the solution for the systemic deficiencies linux has in general is "curl this random url and pipe it into a shell as root"

while jails are really cool, the real selling point for freebsd (and openbsd) is the ports tree; packages are available but sometimes you need a compile-time feature and it's easily accomplished with a couple commands ... and the result is intertwined with the package system so everything works together (like a system should) because it's how packages are built in the first place

a caveat to consider is that new hotness simply doesn't work in freebsd; it will take literal years to get something that is second nature on linux .... but there is the linux emulation thing that can smooth out some rough edges

Reminder that this jeet is unironically the king of scammers. He made his wealth by creating fake medical company, listing his family members as the only employees and then once he funnelled all of the investment money into his pocket he declared bankruptcy with 0 products being developed. This fuck is worse then Elisabeth Holmes but got away with it presumably because our standards for fraud have gone out of the window. I have not checked recently but I bet not a single member of his family even has any degree in any health-related field:
>>
>>107634120
because jeets have izzat culture and can never admit that they were literally grown by the west for the purpose of replacing western workers. Indians arent just 'lol cheaper', they were born and bred from scratch to replace western workers. They are hired because of their race, they exist because the western elites didnt like the idea of letting lower and middle class whites share in their prosparity, so they created a new underclass and they did it by forcibly dragging indians into the tech industry. They have to pretend that they are just innately superior, some how did it on their own, and that they are just better than you so try harder ;)

heres a good example of this behavior

Original article: https://news.microsoft.com/source/1997/03/04/bill-gates-outlines-microsofts-educational-initiatives-for-india/

deleted and rewritten by a jeet: https://news.microsoft.com/source/1997/03/04/bill-gates-technology-investments-will-make-india-an-economic-and-software-superpower/

then rewritten again because the jeet didnt like some of the original details that they missed the first time:

that's a bunch of excuses and misdirection. dude has how much money? if he has a real problem with the culture of the country he calls home he should try to fix things and not actively make them worse. fact: i knew a bunch of white kids who also barely got to watch any TV and were under high pressure to make good grades. it's not limited to immigrants. i also knew immigrant kids who had shitty parents. vivek can posture on twitter all he wants, but the fact is that he's a part of the problem. this is like the blame shifting with recycling. blame all the normies in homes and make them sort their garbage, when the main issue is the companies making shit you can't recycle.
>>
>>107634317
Elizabeth Holmes is the biggest fucking retard to ever exist - why the fuck would you make a company selling a physical product that can be easily determined not to work, and in fact cannot possibly work. and after doing so, basically evangelizing you snake oil BS everywhere and giving interviews left and right doubling down on you BS?

If she didn't do ONE of these things, she could've turned her billion dollar scam company into a successful one by making promises and timelines that were much harder to verify.

If she did that, she'd be a billionaire feminist icon, instead of being in prison.
