What? Are you telling me the technology board on 4chin uses Discord and not XMPP?
>>107660075I use xmpp on my own single board computer. I am making it federate with other servers over tor hidden service. It works, and it is comfy. Owning your comms is easy.
I use it to talk with my wife and kids. No problem.
XMPP is fine for most purposesConversations is niceMatrix was recently shown to have fundamental protocol level flaws which make its security a fucking jokeTried signalx again, captchas are unsolvable.Sticking with session my nigger
>>107663010>session
>>107662592Can you elaborate? Is it only reachable over .onion or do you mean federation happens over Tor?

Is there a python module which takes a string and rotates it by one character each time you call it?
>>107662586nevermind I remembered deque exists
>>107662586def rotate(string): while True: string = string[1:] + string[0] yield string
def rotate(string): while True: string = string[1:] + string[0] yield string
>>107662750I forgot yield existed too, thanks, I'll try that.Been a while since I played with programming.
Trying to force myself today to start programming regularly a couple of hours everyday. Can't be bothered to do anything though. Wtf should I do? Have to build a portfolio to get a internship for college.

Swearing vengeance upon those who create even minor inconveniences, as we share a trade and entire sector of industry that is support for other industries; we exist as a series of transporters and first responders, and anything that cannot eat a rocket and survive, or at least be immediately repairable, that deserves the first rocket.
i'm also a defacto secretary and part of my job is forwarding nato-formatted messages to the people who need to read them, and it's just an accepted part of the job that they come in mangled and it's a pain in the ass to clean them up. weird line break placement because of maximum string length, lack of line breaks because of cr vs crlf type shit, that sort of thing. not that the average operator seems to care about or even understand that, but either way, it's a pain in the asson one ship I was working on, as ISA, they happened to like having those messages also saved onto the shared drive (because apparently outlook isn't enough) but happened to enjoy having them as plaintextI wrote a powershell script to just rename the files like they wanted done manually. it wouldn't touch the contents, I still did that by hand because honestly there were too many stupid edge cases to deal with that checking a script's work would be equal to doing it myself in the first place. but it would at least draw the necessary info to rename the files properly and make a very basic attempt at formatting the (plaintext, human-readable) header properly.Every senior who saw it told me to stop doing that kind of thing. I got multiple bad performance reviews across several parachuted-in(figurative) bosses for working on it. The script's failure state was "give up and retain the original name", it didn't touch the actual text within, and everything came in through outlook (or radio teletype) anyway and thus had a reasonable local very immediate backup.Even if a future boss says it's ok, even if the forces as a whole adopts a new platform that just does that itself, I will fucking die mad about it ever not having been ok.

As someone who lives in Ireland, in a country which is known as a safe haven for transnational companies what is the point of these tech companies like Meta, Google and IBM coming over here just to hire indians who haven't lived for 1 second in the country? Aren't these companies supposed to offer jobs to the people who were actually born and live here? Why don't they go to fucking india if they want to fucking hire indians? Why is it full of fucking foreigners in these companies and get interviewed by foreigners? What tf are these companies doing here if they're only hiring fucking foreigners. God I hate immigration and globalism so badly. Fucking hate how liberal the Irish people are and how the only political parties here are all liberal. There's not a single immigration restrictionist party here and in reality we need mass remigration. This country deserves its faith, hate these Irish liberal subhumans who only know how to party and do drugs and live "in the moment". Everything is hyper expensive here. Buying a house that looks like a shed takes about 30 years. You thought eastern europeans were bad, wait til you have to live amongst brown and black 3rd worlders.
>>107663208>what is the point of these tech companies like Meta, Google and IBM coming over here just toslightly lower taxes
I broked my phone so i factory reset it before repairbefore that i just copy and pasted all my shit from internal storage to pcnow after getting it back i just found out that app settings including chromium bookmarks are stored in android/data/data, and the pc couldn't read it because it required root accessthose juden also have something called "knox"-a circuit that breaks when you try to root your phoneyears of goon material, gone, just like that. koreans need to be sent to concentration camps

Why the fuck did they do this? Just installed nvidia-open and it literally gives me artifacts in almost every game and makes my 3060 spin like crazy. Give me back proprietary nvidia drivers!!!!

Why not just take C++ and remove legacy baggage? Why make it so unnecessarily complicated?
>>107662361>Why make it so unnecessarily complicatedtech industry has a lot of autistic faggots. you change one thing they will go into fetal position. about the time people lose interest their shitty puzzle language, thats when finally they fear becoming irrelevant and allow new features. Java was fagged up for like a decade as fags blocked closures and multiline strings, and it probably still does not have some literals. Fags will block exceptions in golang forever.
>>107662424C# is slow and niggerlicious though, hardly a replacement for C or C++..
>>107662361The only reason rust is so popular is because it's the only alternative
>>107663151ada
>>107662361too late, too much baggage which would destroy the entire c++ ecosystem
This shit is frying my brain. It's fucking with me; the amount of gaslighting it does is insane. I genuinely can't handle it.

Bought a bluetooth keyboard, it’s really shit and difficult to use, so I decide to open it, it is the tear down, what is those components inside they look familiar but have no names?

>>107663145but you left the battery because...?also that's not how you remove bt connection ability, you need to install a dummy load, 50R instead of L1, or you'll still have radio emission

If all the cables in your house connect to only one cable that can only be used by one ISP at a time then it's not possible.
